Utopia Talk / Politics / Game of Thrones: Eastwatch

59 minutes of moral turpitude and degenerate liberal propaganda.

Daenerys charges surviving Lannister soldiers with hate crimes for their killing of several innocent PoC Dothraki refugees during last week's battle. Jon heeds Bran's warning about White Walkers on the move and promptly tears down the Wall in order to allow these poor undocumented migrants to find jobs in the Seven Kingdoms. Cersei vows to further demonstrate why women are inherently unsuited for positions of power and responsibility.

---

How much have Westerosi property values declined now that Daenerys has brought countless foreign Arabs and blacks from Essos to fight the (FUCKING WHITE MALE) Lannisters and bring some much-needed diversity to the Seven Kingdoms?

Will Jaime ever take the Iron Throne for itself (as by succession law it is actually rightfully his), or will continue to be a good progressive and let Cersei sit on it so that more women can occupy senior executive positions in Westeros?

How many more male characters will be turned into emasculated (literally or figuratively) betas by the end of the show? So far we have Grey Worm, Theon, Varys, Tyrion, Jaime, Daario, Jorah, Littlefinger, Tommen (literally followed that pussy into the afterlife), and Jon, but there's no reason to stop there.

When will Tyrion realize that he's the most boring character now that's he's reduced himself to replacing Jorah in Dany's FriendZone? Becoming a male feminist may get you SJW brownie points but he's not gonna get laid again any time soon like this.

How has the North been faring ever since Jon killed those evil ICE agents on the Wall and let thousands of cannibal marauding savage-..., er, poor Wildling refugees into the realm?

Why does Sansa continue to insist that her lawful husband's sexual relations with her were an act of rape? This isn't 2017 and you have no agency as a woman, slut.

Where the fuck have the Stormlands been since Season 2? If D&D were smart, they'd claim that it sank underwater due to rising sea levels caused by climate change.

Why hasn't the entertainment media burst into outrage about Cersei committing the SJW definition of rape in Episode 3, when she forced herself on Jaime despite the latter telling her "no?" I seem to recall them having a somewhat different reaction when the roles were reversed in Season 4.

Now that the faggot Tyrell is dead, how are the show writers going to pander to their LBGTQSNMEO+ viewers? I suggest having Gendry reappear as a transitioned woman, but I'm open to anything really.

Jews gonna jew. Gotta promote that degeneracy. My guess is that at some point Arya uses the facelss man power to look like Liev Schreiber's sondaughter and takes a romantic backdoor pounding from Nymeria.

More freaking exposition and build up. So much for "le epic penultimate season!" There are only 2 episodes left.

Yeah, 8/10 lol.

I didn't want to read this thread before I had watched Eastwatch. But now I realize I probably could have.

This episode was kinda "meh". Nothing extraordinary happened. I was more of a build up.

I was a bit disappointed that Daenerys and her troops didn't search the water for Jamie. Jamie was trying to kill her and she let him go. What's up with that?

Other side of the Blackwater rush I'm assuming.

Also, fuck Dany and her "I don't take prisoners stance". Hopefully qyburn somehow captures her and Cersie has the reanimated mountain fuck Dany to death.

Not before Dany fucks Jon Snow while Jorah watches.

Benevolent queen doesn't take prisoners.

That's OK I guess killing all the men in Westros so that they're replaced by horse niggers is the progressive thing to do.

The death of the uber-masculine Tarly peeps and survival of their fat son also gives some commentary ;)

..
[Paramount]: "Jamie was trying to kill her and she let him go. What's up with that?"

Yeah I'm not sure if the way that they left it made sense. If they had thought that the dragon had burned him, then it makes sense not to look for him.. but apparently they knew pretty quickly that he'd gotten away (was Tyrion even looking for Jaime in the ashes?). But then again.. bad editing? So maybe they *did* think he was dead (no immediate cause to search), but then scouts saw him enter King's Landing a short time later? If that's the case, then they just cut an entire development scene. :/

..
[Paramount]: "This episode was kinda "meh". Nothing extraordinary happened. I was more of a build up."

Yeah. Seemed entirely a transition episode.

And they did some extreme pace editing. Like, Jon at Dragonstone decides to go to Eastwatch. Next scene with Jon: Jon at Eastwatch.. Not even going to wait until next episode? He's just there already? Could HBO *really* not pay for a full 10-episode season? I know Nikolaj Coster Waldau is expensive, but this pacing has gotten wacky

..
Danny basically showed that she's all fucked up still. She went back to old-Danny of crucifying 100+ slavers with her "death by fire or join me" line and with that Tarly execution. I was a little disappointed that — after the Tarlys died with each other — one or two of the foot soldiers or higher commanders didn't scream something like, "burn me too, you savage!" It would have been a nice switch if her "rule by fear" move had backfired immediately.

..based on the letter that Arya found (a letter which appeared to have been written by Sansa from Season 1 or 2, calling her own father a traitor and Joffrey the rightful heir and asking Robb to swear fealty to Joffrey) and based on Arya calling Sansa out for being materialistic and not defending Jon against the lords, it looks like Littlefinger *and* Sansa might be planning Sansa's rise at the expense of Jon. Sansa would probably have had to tell Littlefinger that the letter existed, and Littlefinger was getting rid of it on her behalf as part of a move to make it look like she was always faithful to House Stark. So Sansa may have learned some things from Cersei, but it's possible that she only learned the "fuck everyone over to get what you want" message as opposed to the "protect the family" message.. unless Sansa is just using Littlefinger against himself... The whole thing was colored by Arya's potentially outdated perceptions of Sansa, and based on Arya's history and her suggestion that they start decapitating dissent votes, she's a bit fucked up ;p

Looks like the big dragon smells Jon's Targ blood! Danny just thinks it's super romantic that Jon is a dragon person too ;D

Poor Jorah! He saw the young Jon and immediately decided to step out of their way. At least he got a hug before deciding to go on a suicide mission ;p

And no more Bronn? :( .. it sounded like he still wanted what he was owed, but then he was also like, "Do not want dragons! C-ya!"

In the citadel, nice little joke there that Gilly was about to reveal Rhaegar Targaryen's new marriage to (we reasonably presume) Lyanna Stark.. but it figures that Samwise Gamgee would abandon his studies and run back into plot relevance. It seems like a bad decision on his part considering that there's not much he can really do in person (besides deliver his father's sword). Sending off ravens when he learns new things and trying to convince the maesters to take the WWs seriously seems to be a better strategy than taking a few books and hoping that they'll be helpful. Not that it doesn't make sense for him to heed his father's line about the "deeds of better men".. but at least get *one* chain link ;D

And it looks like Cersei's going crazy! Her glassy looks and then that comment about Jaime betraying her.. Kingslayer Round 2 confirmed? ;)

Littlefinger participated in the "interrogation" of Sansa with Varys and Cersei, so I think it's safe to say he knew about the letter.

Instead, I think it's more of a banking against Sansa and Jon now that Jon's turned down his Sansa advances in a very Ned-like way. Baelish can use the letter to turn lords against her if he chooses to reveal it.

[Forwyn]: "Littlefinger participated in the "interrogation" of Sansa with Varys and Cersei, so I think it's safe to say he knew about the letter."

True, so I'm probably wrong about a Sansa&Litttlefinger complicity -- probably it's just him, which also makes sense as a plan to make Arya think that Sansa is against the North (put the sisters at odds again so that Arya will be exiled?).

..
[Forwyn]: "Baelish can use the letter to turn lords against her if he chooses to reveal it."

Nice. I wonder if that could also work to get Sansa to move aside for his kingship.. like -- Rugian beta prerogatives aside ;) -- LF probably wants to sit on the throne himself rather than stand next to Sansa while she sits, so at some point he'd have to get her to resign power to him...

I guess he realized that there's more to life than reading Ovid's Metamorphoses for ideas on how to kill characters ;)

Hey! I said something similar in the last thread :D
"This show is starting to look like a highlight reel of a bigger show that no one gets to see ;D"

By the way, your comment in that thread was basically said by Jaime in this episode:
[pillz]: "Because when you scorch an army with a dragon, it sends a clear message that you aren't to be trifled with - and they know you've got two more."
[Jaime]: "That was only one of them. She has two more. If she decides to use them — to *really* use them..."
