Cherub Cow rank	Sun Dec 15 01:24:16 2013 Yeah Tauriel was invented just for this movie, and Legolas wasn't around :D .. and I'm not a novel purist or anything :p .. the different format needs changes, so whatever changes they want to make they can go ahead (I think it's fine to be critical of the changes, but not just because they're changes). I actually liked the Tauriel/Kili romance! :D Tauriel was like the Walking Dead Daryl of this movie ;D But it is funny/weird that even with an extended movie, Jackson kind of trimmed down the stuff that -was- in the book. Like that whole part about one of the dwarves falling in the enchanted forest river, or losing arrows trying to catch a deer.. instead they were captured pretty quickly. It makes me wonder if there's a lot of extra footage that he's planning à la LOTR, which makes it hard to judge anything

I'll save you some time though, if you absolutely didn't like All Too Well (the song from the Grammys), it's prolly not worth looking into. On the other hand, if you thought it was a surprisingly well written song with some actual quality, especially compared to songs like "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together", it might be worth looking into.
