FUCK YEAH!!!

Putting fascist dictators in prison and forcing them to run their retarded son instead actually works.

Imagine if Harris ran against Don Jr.

Bad day for rule of law. Lula wouldn't even be eligible for the presidency in a country where the judiciary wasn't so blatantly politicized.

Rugian:

It's been known since 2008 that the wording of the 1997 constitution allowed for indefinite non-consecutive terms: there was a proposal for a further amendment then to remove that possibility.

Typical right wing bullshit crying about political judiciary even while they themselves politicise the judiciary.

Let's put aside for now the fact that a political leader who is perpetually elected into office (this will make 16 years as president for Lula) is generally a sign of an unhealthy democracy.

I was clearly referencing Lula's conviction on corruption charges, which should have rendered hik ineligible for high office had not his allies in the judiciary arbitrarily vacated that judgement.

Hardly arbitrary - the court that convicted him has no jurisdiction to try him in the first place, and that was in line with plenty of previous rulings.

The UNHRC even cited the original case against him as politically motivated, there are leaked emails of him collaborating with prosecutors, and the Brazilian courts later found as such.

It's embarrassing you'd even bring this up as it's the exact opposite of what you claim: a politically aligned judge seeking to go after his political enemies.
