I just discovered my blog from 2010-2012. Damn, I have forgot how devoted I was and how good I actually wrote. I re-read some of my posts, and, in my opionion, I almost sound like an award-winning journalist. Maybe I should start writing again. It was fun.

He is probably not wrong. Anyone learning to write with pen and paper is better at it before the ease of digital word production degraded all our skills. Stuff written before looks pretty good in retrospect.

AI may change that. It can give a better standard template we might possibly slowly emulate. Here, I will lead with an example:

"He’s probably not wrong. Anyone who learned to write with pen and paper tended to develop stronger baseline skills before the convenience of digital text production eroded our habits. Much of what was written in that earlier era looks surprisingly good when we revisit it.

AI may shift that trajectory again. It can provide a higher standard of template and tone — something we might gradually internalize and emulate. Let me illustrate what I mean with an example:"
