So why is Germany building missiles for Israel? They could build these missiles for themselves instead, or give them to Ukraine. Why is everything always for Israel?

I didn't know they were for Israel. I assumed they were licensing the technology from Rafael to make the missiles for their own use.

"Under the plans, the Osnabrück factory would make various Iron Dome parts, including the heavy-duty trucks that carry the system’s missiles as well as launchers and electricity generators. But it would not produce the projectiles themselves.

The concept would require minimal new investment"

BTW this is why the Trump admin is so afraid of the huge Chinese manufacturing capacity and tries to bring back more manufacturing to the USA again. Because factories that produce civilian goods can often be easily changed to produce military goods.

Yes limited. The factory in Osnabrück has about 2,300 employees, VW has more than 600,000 total.
