I mean sure - why not pretend I support Khameini.

It's not like you have honesty, integrity or honour to lose.

Why don't you go back to explaining how CSAM is harmless political speech.

Lol why don't you cry and scream more about the genocide.

"Why don't you go back to explaining how CSAM is harmless political speech."

There may people who can make this sort of insult. You are not one of them. You support importing infinity Pakis to gangrape white British girls.

Oh he's dead almost assuredly. Also, so far, the Iranian response has been limp as hell. Not even a few massive barrages like we saw the last time. Give it a few more days to see if they have something significant stored up, but right now it's looking like they really didn't rebuild much after last summer's war.

In Seb's defense, you guys take his fairly moderate anti-imperialist attitude and make him out like he's some kind of frothing at the mouth "hate everything about the west" marxist. I've never seen him defend Khamenai the dictator.

On a side note, this feels like we're on spiral toward nation state enemies just open range killing eachother's political leaders does it not?

Renzo:

Idiotic fuckwits spouting far right propaganda funny get to determine who can say what, except musk on X.

Obaminated:

Incorrect. I don't believe in affirmations: I merely observe that the US is unlikely to achieve effective regime change.

Hrothgar:

Half the time they complain precisely because I do support interventions. My only issues with attacking Iran is there was no particular need to, and its more likely to go badly wrong.

It’s likely just zionist propaganda. The pedo terrorists does not know where he is, so they are making this statement in the hope that the Iranians will say or do something that will reveal his position.

"this feels like we're on spiral toward nation state enemies just open range killing eachother's political leaders does it not? "

Good. That's the way it should be. Political leaders can suffer their own consequences instead of tons of civilians and 18 year old soldiers.

"the US is unlikely to achieve effective regime change. "

Lol seb you pedo retard the ayatolla was dead before you typed this.

No kidding? You mean all those US bases in the middle east aren't just for decorative purposes?

Agrees with Sam, better to take out a few at dinner than thousands in the field.

Im curious how the Saudi coalition plays into this.

Having local military allies hopefully can get this done and over quickly.

NaMBLA:

Yes, and he's likely been dead all day. Along with a fair few other senior leaders.

So... who has been launching all these missiles? Why hasn't peace broken out and the newly liberated Iran immediately unilaterally surrendered to the US and Israel and begun discussing mineral deals?

Khameini isn't the regime and his death is no more regime change than Trump keeling over would represent regime change in the US.

Are you really so clueless?
Habebe

Murder, Ive basically gotten all my info about the situation from skimming this board.

US/Israel striked at Iran and they have been launching missiles back?
Seb

Habebe:

That works in feudal societies. It doesn't work on administrative states.

You may have noticed that Khameini likely died in the first seconds, and yet look, the guys in the field are still fighting and people are still dying.

The problem is when you kill the people in charge of an administrative state, you kill the people that can stop things; so unless you have a plan to end a conflict it tends to keep it spinning.

Like if a suitcase nuke took out all the US leadership in DC, will the US just suddenly grind to a halt? Or will planned contingency take over for retaliation *with literally nobody in authority to call them off* until a new civilian leadership gets sorted out?

It's the latter I'm afraid.

Game of thrones is a fantasy book, not Clausewitz.

Decapitation can still be a good tactic - but what's Israeli or US strategy here?

There isn't one, it's too leaders in deep political and legal trouble trying to use a war to avoid jail.

"with literally nobody in authority to call them off"

Seb always coming up with a lame excuse to not act. You must be at least part French.

"but what's Israeli or US strategy here?"

Kill the ayatolla, replace him with someone friendly, with the assistance of millions of Iranian protesters

Lmfao dunce why is it so hard for you.

"US/Israel striked at Iran and they have been launching missiles back?"

Yes, but what I mean is all those gulf states have been supporting this attack and the previous ones this whole time.

Qatar was against it.

UAE was all for it, along with Bahrain and Jordan.

Unclear on Saudis, Pakistanis though I suspect they were for it.

Wapo reporting that Saudi was all for it but that's wapo so who knows.

I'm pretty sure Pakistan wanted it to.

"Our list of allies grows thin"

Of course now that Iran just shot at the most important parts of each neighbor, they are pretty much all for it.

The far left temper tantrum is also pretty muted so far. Most people realize the ayatolla had it coming.

The US decapitated the equivalent of the leader of the US Supreme Court with religious connetations. All it does is piss off people.

That is the new guy. As if Iran does not have rules for succession when you kill a religious figure.

I just hope the Pope is never killed. How would the EU survive the power vaccuum that would ensue?
