Didn't need its own thread but, Canada is sending Cuba solar panels in solidarity with their comrades.

The Canadians missed a great opportunity here!

Rep. Van Orden (R-WI): "If Canada had taken Donald Trump up on his offer to become the 51st state, the Canadians would've had gold also."

Yeah, IDK if Canadian HC is vetter for the patients.

Agajn, if you make less than X (Idk the limit) you basically get unlimited free HC here in the US.

"Agajn, if you make less than X (Idk the limit) you basically get unlimited free HC here in the US."

That's not the case. The poor, if they qualify for Medicaid, get limited access to health care, and not everyone qualifies.

They also get to visit emergency rooms for non-emergencies ... and receive massive bills that wreck their credit and ensure that they stay poor.

Most everyone goes without vision, hearing, dental, and mental health care.

Canadian healthcare is probably better for poor people, while the opposite is generally true for your well off people.

Murder, If your poor, you qualify.

It may be different outside of PA, I do remember SC was wierd about government assistance.

I got free eye exams, two pairs of nice glasses (I usually wear my "Brother malcoms")

They literally image the inside of my eye teice a year, had extensive dental care a partial for an individual molar. Twice a year cleanings and polishing.

Had a double hernia surgery.

My scripts are never more than $1.

And I still use county assistance...alot of ppl even if they get it through work prefer it and, at least here is easy to qualify.

If you make less than $50k/yr, if you have kids etc. Lots of ways.

Wait times in the ER average like 18 hours

Most ERs are flooded with regular people because duh. Not enough doctors to send them home. Not enough doctors to see actual emergencies.

Care is relatively terrible even for emergencies.

I spent 3 days being sent home before they diagnosed my DVT. A lot of the same people there with me for those 3 days.

Free clinics have been slightly optimized but care is still relatively poor and loads of people just get sent to the ER by referal to wait 18h anyways.

Obtaining a family doctor is literally impossible.

And let us not forget that we have death mills for the elderly, where life expectancy is like 18 months regardless of condition upon admittance.

The best area of our healthcare system is free dental for minors for semi annual cleanings, probably.

And none of this is free. We have a higher tax burden than you do and high household debt and totally stagnant wages & buying power compared to the US.

Although your health care system is obviously also trash with how it's just an insurance provider & care provider cartel syndicate that costs way too much nationally, at least you can blame greedy corporations and poor retards equally and be justified in both ways kinda.

We just have to suffer through government ineptitude without any brakes on the crazy train

Jesus I didn't realize it was that bad in Canada.

"And let us not forget that we have death mills for the elderly, where life expectancy is like 18 months regardless of condition upon admittance."

I mean that's true everywhere. Old folks homes are the worst fucking places. I don't think it's possible to make such a place not suck.
