the wanderer | Wed May 28 21:52:46 of note, the 3 judges were a Reagan, an Obama and a Trump appointees (as lying fuckhead will claim them all radical leftists) apparently his global 'liberation day' tariffs again required him claiming an "unusual and extraordinary threat... to the national security, foreign policy, or economy of the United States" as he did w/ Canada crazily & corruptly about fentanyl (& crazily threatened to do on the movie industry in some weird post never to be heard from since) it does seem unlikely there is a national security threat from every single country & penguin island in the world (not sure that's the reason the panel is objecting, just what any sane person would notice) |

Let's make Trump the autocrat for 2 years, let him have absolute power for 2 years to do whatever is necessary. Then we go back to the Constitution. http://www...gainst-trumps-tariffs-00374377 Second federal court rules against Trump’s tariffs The decision comes less than 24 hours after another court ruled against the president’s use of an emergency law to justify tariffs on dozens of the United States’ largest trading partners. A second federal court has ruled against President Donald Trump’s emergency tariffs on imports from around the world, dealing another blow to his trade agenda and efforts to strike new deals with dozens of countries. “The International Economic Emergency Powers Act does not authorize the President to impose the tariffs set forth” in four executive orders Trump issued earlier this year, D.C. District Court Judge Rudolph Contreras said in a decision ordering a preliminary injunction on the collection of the duties on the two plaintiffs who brought the case. Justice Department attorneys had urged Contreras not to approve the companies’ request for an injunction, saying it would act like a “magnet” in attracting thousands of other companies to challenge the duty. Contreras, who also called the tariffs “unlawful,” stayed his order for 14 days “so the parties may seek review in the Court of Appeals.” |

the wanderer | Fri May 30 02:08:12 the appeals court put them back, won't be settled til Supreme Court... one would think they would move fast on massive issues, but i doubt it here's unfit whiny dictator poisonous drama queen child's rant on the judges (one of whom he appointed, so has to explain how that happened): " ... Where do these initial three Judges come from? How is it possible for them to have potentially done such damage to the United States of America? Is it purely a hatred of “TRUMP?” What other reason could it be?[*] I was new to Washington, and it was suggested that I use The Federalist Society as a recommending source on Judges. I did so, openly and freely, but then realized that they were under the thumb of a real “sleazebag” named Leonard Leo, a bad person who, in his own way, probably hates America, and obviously has his own separate ambitions. He openly brags how he controls Judges, and even Justices of the United States Supreme Court — I hope that is not so, and don’t believe it is! In any event, Leo left The Federalist Society to do his own “thing.” I am so disappointed in The Federalist Society because of the bad advice they gave me on numerous Judicial Nominations. This is something that cannot be forgotten! With all of that being said, I am very proud of many of our picks, but very disappointed in others. ... Backroom “hustlers” must not be allowed to destroy our Nation! The horrific decision stated that I would have to get the approval of Congress for these Tariffs. In other words, hundreds of politicians would sit around D.C. for weeks, and even months, trying to come to a conclusion as to what to charge other Countries that are treating us unfairly. If allowed to stand, this would completely destroy Presidential Power — The Presidency would never be the same![**] ... " [*]maybe they ruled based on the law, as there is no national emergency plus [**]tariffs never once issued before via this law so i kinda doubt presidential power would be destroyed (as drama queen also claimed about not having immunity from crimes...) |

the wanderer | Fri May 30 17:32:38 so the Federalist Society was tricking Trump into appointing liberal activist Dem judges? & what's your smear for the Reagan-appointed judge? is it so hard to believe Trump is misusing a law rather than deciding all judges are corrupt? especially when even basic understanding of the law suggests it's being misused... |
