He didn't drop it though when he became aware it wasn't true. That is one of the things I dislike most about him. He tends to use hyperbole to make his points. And yes some of that hyperbole is straight up a lie. But as Kamala said when she was called on a lie, it is just politics. Still he is much better than anything the Democrats were able to offer up as sad as that is.
