This, combined with early events and lots of hiding, dragged out the affair. It became readily apparent to ignorant megadonors that his sundowner symptoms were worse than previously revealed. It was a nice bonus that the DNC got to avoid the democratic process. Probably at least partially planned beforehand, but we have no proof of this.
