Utopia Talk / Politics / Democrats launch membership purge

Anti-gun campaigner David Hogg is making waves with his plan to push primary challenges to the Democratic Party's incumbents in Congress. After rising to prominence for his activism as a survivor of the 2018 mass shooting at his high school in Parkland, Florida, he is now a vice chair on the Democratic National Committee and is making other party leaders anxious.

Democratic critics say Hogg's plan to invest $20 million from his Leaders We Deserve PAC to replace incumbents is "misguided at a time when the party is up against President Donald Trump," said The Washington Post. But Hogg said his goal is to help that opposition by replacing "ineffective" Democrats. Those who are nervous about his proposal "should ask yourself, if you're a member of Congress, why and how you can change?" he said.

Democratic Party Chair Ken Martin, though, is working to force Hogg to "choose between his official role and his disrupter goals." And Hogg's efforts have sparked a backlash from other Democratic elders. The primary strategy is the "most insane thing I've heard," said James Carville to The Hill.

Gee, its almost like appointing a Gen Z far-left political activist to your party leadership is a bad idea.

Who would have guessed.

"About halfway across the river, the scorpion raised its tail and stung the frog. The frog was both astounded and disconsolate. “Why did you sting me? Now I will die and you will surely drown and die also.”

The scorpion replied, “I can’t help it. It’s who I am. It’s in my nature.”"

a shake-up would be good... (as long as not all about blind loyalty to a criminal cult leader as being done somewhere else)

..... He really doesn't like acknowledging they put a geriatric Alzheimers patient in office, does he?

Not cult like at all, TW, not cult like at all.

seriously? you see a Biden cult? & comparable to Trump's? & how did he get ousted as candidate once his decline displayed? Trump's insanity on display regularly & they can't say a word (or have to pretend he's joking)

I was always positive to gun ownership, but after I got my rifles and became a gun nut, I can’t see myself not having guns. It’s like a car, I’m not ever not having a car.

@tw

No, I see that you're ignorant to what your party does or how it acts. You're intentionally forcing brain into dead ends like cult=person

Be better

Because you obviously can't and won't look up words you misuse or misunderstand, I'll do the leg work for you this time:

Dictionary

You don't tether your ideas or beliefs in anything real, you live in hypocrisy - you don't just spout it.

The *need* to win by illegitimately putting a geriatric Alzheimer's patience in office as President of the United States - where he is supposed to be elected because the constituency (via the electorate) believes he is the most capable person.

And yet you have previously stated and land obviously still believe that it was more important to 'win' and undermine entire system because 'your party' could governor better than Trump could.

And you can't honestly counter that Biden was a more competent or capable leader. A corgi would have been a more coherent president than Biden.

Anyone who claims that Biden's cognitive decline wasnt visible before the June 2024 debate is a fucking liar.

Dont be a liar, tw.

Faux & the fraudosphere put out cropped clips to pretend they showed he was senile

such as pretending he wasn't talking to someone or reaching to shake hands w/ someone when they were just off screen (& in fact deliberately cropped out on one occasion w/ the paratroopers)

it makes no sense to claim it was obvious before the debate as why would the debate have mattered so much?

also, no idea what Pillz talking about... i never advocated for Biden, even in 2020, i advocated any person in existence over Trump, i stated repeatedly i would vote for the highest polling candidate opposite Trump (as he is so grossly & obviously unfit for office in sooo many ways & it's been proven ~daily for years)

'anybody but trump' = voting for a senile old man with the cognitive faculties of a goldfish

Was clear as day Biden was senile, and it never got better. The fact you were not aggressively anti Biden before he withdrew is proof that you supported the president by committee charade of the DNC that was his presidency.

You are so focused on Trump Trump Trump you can't evaluate anything properly.

tw

You realize the mental gymnastics you're having to engage in to justify your position, right?

Okay, so according to you rightwing media spent years falsely portraying Biden as a man of poor mental cognition...but then all of a sudden, wait he is actually mentally deficient? But all of those clips that rightwing media previously showed are still fake?

Come on man.

"'anybody but trump' = voting for a senile old man with the cognitive faculties of a goldfish "

he wasn't the candidate in 2024

i didn't even vote for him in 2020 (though obviously not Trump), & no indication of him being a senile old man in 2020 anyway

-----------

"The fact you were not aggressively anti Biden before he withdrew"

i did say he should withdraw after the debate (which indeed was the first time actual proof, again why did that massively change things if already evident?)... & i did tweet to him that he shouldn't run again WELL before that, not on senility, on age in general & the continuous Hunter distraction)

------------------

"You are so focused on Trump..."

as he is much worse... i can not imagine a worse person...

& yes there was plenty of stupid nonsense put out by the Right

here's one of the 'shaking hands w/ air' nonsense
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_59agcnLAj4

is his hand moving up and down? he's obviously gesturing & talking to someone at the side of the stage, there is exactly ZERO indication of dementia in that clip

actually correction, i probably did vote for Biden in 2020 (though he was not my choice in the primaries, & i've never pushed for him at any point in time)... i was thinking 2016 when i didn't vote Hillary, but obviously not Trump (he didn't seem likely to win plus the full horror wasn't clear then)

"Democrats want to elect candidates they actually support. Oh no!" -- Rugian

Democrats are out of power and Rugian can't find anything to pretend to be outraged about.

"Faux & the fraudosphere put out cropped clips to pretend they showed he was senile"

Fact check... while a couple videos may have been exxagerated at least 100 existed showing bidens clear and obvious decline. Dems blatantly tried to cover this up and lied to the people in a much more egregious way.

him slowing w/ age wasn't proof unable to do the job

even the debate didn't show he was incapacitated & that others must have been doing everything as the Right runs with (& as our current idiot has decided, claiming Biden can't possibly have known about any pardons for example)

again, the massive change by all after debate --PROVES-- nothing was obvious until then... did his team shelter him? probably so... as done w/ Reagan & others (not a cult, not remotely similar to Trump, who is more impaired just from multiple mental illnesses & defects rather than all age-based)

& yeah, as bad as Biden was in the debate, he wasn't making crazy baseless claims... you always knew what he was going for (iirc)

unlike 'eating the dogs!' which had ZERO examples/evidence to the present

The idea Biden is a better rhetorician than Trump, at any point in the past 5 years, is laughable.

Again I maintain that 'anything but Trump' is an illegitimate position. It wouldn't be if you didn't blindly support everything including defending Biden.

voting on rhetoric is an illegitimate position... stating false info continuously doesn't impress me

plus Trump makes decisions on that false info, false info sometimes entirely made up by himself... he continuously repeats that false info to the public... including poisonous lies

i haven't been voting on political positions in over a decade... the 'man' is insanely unfit & massively mentally ill, 'anyone but him' makes sense until someone somehow can seem worse which would be a really impressive feat

Because he could occasionally hold it together for a while with his drug cocktail infusions. This, combined with early events and lots of hiding, dragged out the affair.

It became readily apparent to ignorant megadonors that his sundowner symptoms were worse than previously revealed.

It was a nice bonus that the DNC got to avoid the democratic process. Probably at least partially planned beforehand, but we have no proof of this.
