Eh, I'll give the full imax experience an 8 out of 10. Not a perfect movie, but seeing how it's likely the only film that I'll get legitimately pumped for this year, it deserves its due credit.

Sticking with my summary:
"A very stylistic way to sell people on Radio Rwanda's calls for White genocide. Great audio, amazing visuals, and a truly memorable atmosphere. If you're going to encourage people to kill an entire race, Villeneuve definitely has the style to do it."

I saw it in Dolby Vision and definitely appreciated the movie sound. Scenes like the Grandfather worm get extra value when it feels like the earth beneath the theater is giving way. Also really liked Atreides' speech before the Fremen leaders. I don't have lots of respect for Timothée Chalamet, but he pulled that off.

many characters died off without any real shat.

we was shown da baron was extreme. can fly, superhuman strength etc.

in da end, he got effed off while crawlin on da floor...

rabban, same. big muscular guy...he had 1 minute screentime in da end.

emperor and sardaukar was made 2 look so badass in da first movie. as if they was invincible mongol warriorz...they was kittens in this movie.

second half of movie or final 3rd leg of da movie, after he went south, was just speed run basically.

story went nowhere. just he went there, drank some shat, gained immortal powas and now he is da legend and myth and becomes invincible...he defeats da entire empire in 15 minutes basically

da baron was supahuman. he was shown in da first movie as someone really really scary.

could snap peoples necks like a twig. could fly at will. can survive toxic and chemical attacks even though scarred and injured.

he was snapped off in 3 minutes. no fight, no showdown, no nottin.

I must say TC has some points.

The ending was pretty weak.

"rabban, same. big muscular guy...he had 1 minute"

At least there you can chalk that up to being up against the way more badass gurney halleck. Like when achilles pwns that big clown in troy. Rabban is always a bit of a whiny douche.

But the emperor and sardukar just go down way too easy(though in the book they do kindof get nuked).

The "lead them into paradise" line at the end was pretty epic.

Great visuals.

Decent not great.

7 or 8 out of 10 is fair. In that ballpark.

what u tryin 2 say...how come da emperor and da sardaukars dont got there arsenal then...

so atreidies send there entire arsenal 2 da spiceworld...how dumb is that. how does even make any sense.
and if they got that much powa, how did da arkannons destroy them in da first place.

I'd agree that the ending was weak and there were some elements that felt rushed. Feyd's scenes were badass but he was introduced so late in the series that they may as well have merged him with Dave Bautista's character. The revelation that [SPOILERS] was a Harkonnen had no payoff. Walken stood out in a negative way, they should have hired someone less distinctive or less well known for that role.

Again, this was by no means a perfect movie. In an era where Hollywood didn't suck and was still putting out multiple great movies a year, Dune II would have been more like a 6 / 10. But when you're the *only* movie worth watching for at least the next six months, that helps with the score.

"Walken stood out in a negative way, they should have hired someone less distinctive or less well known for that role."

Agreed. You dont get a badass actor for a weenie role.

"what u tryin 2 say...how come da emperor and da sardaukars dont got there arsenal then..."

In the book their are special rules for nukes and if you violate them everyone else gangbangs you. Plus the emperor is kindof a weenie who backs down rather than fight it out.
