Almost 800,000 dead in the US from covid-19

But yeah, it's a total hoax.

Rugian's dad probably died to the Rona but Cuckservatives are so fiercely retarded and in denial, they always fall back to their own preconceived narratives.

Forget 9/11, states call for the federal government to declare a state of emergency before a hurricane even hits, and hurricanes rarely kill more than a few people.

The GOP has simply adopted Trumps tactic of sticking with a moronic stance no matter how obvious it becomes that you're wrong.

That's hardly something Trump deserves credit for. The retarded members of mankind have always done this.

And only because there is not enough Ivermection available!!

Salzburg/Vienna. They do not want to be vaccinated themselves and rely on a deworming agent for animals instead of a tested vaccine: In Austria, opponents of vaccination are increasingly obtaining the drug Ivermectin from pharmacies. In many places it is already sold out.

Actually horses or cattle are dewormed with Ivermectin. Experts are now warning against taking it by mistake - there is a risk of devastating consequences such as poisoning.

The vaccine-skeptical head of the Austrian right, Herbert Kickl (FPÖ), has also contracted Covid-19. On Monday, he declared on Facebook that he and his family members had developed symptoms. "I am sorry to inform you that today I have received news from the health authorities that a PCR test I gave yesterday is positive," he wrote there.

The FPÖ, like the AfD in Germany, has rejected the government's Corona measures as restrictions on freedom. Then, in early November, Kickl presented a so-called "Plan B" against the virus. From his point of view, the focus should be on early treatment of Covid-19 instead of vaccination. He also mentioned the anti-worm drug ivermectin, which could be used against the disease.

Thus, he campaigned against vaccination and for therapies that were not recommended - contradicting medical doctrine. Again and again, doctors and the government have sharply criticized Kickl.

Still, some Austrians stock up on the drug, even though there is no evidence that the active ingredient effectively protects against covid-19. "Ivermectin is always sold out, and this despite the fact that it is available on prescription," Thomas Veitschegger, president of the Upper Austrian Chamber of Pharmacists, is quoted as saying in the portal "OÖ Nachrichten." In addition, many take ivermectin completely wrong. "They take the much higher dose, which is actually intended for horses. There were already poisonings."

Daemon, In all fairness.

1. There was early testing success against covid.Further testing AFAIK hasnt panned out. However it has been found to have have anti parasitic, viral and bacterial properties in a lab.

2. Its misleading to call it an animal drug when it's widely used as an anti parasitic drug for humans. Much like antibiotics for bacterial infections, regardless of species.

3. While people should get vaccinated and put little faith in ivermectin since it doesnt seem effective, its not dangerous.

Not getting vaxed arguably is dangerous.

"There was early testing success "
Yeah but the article that I translated is from this week. There is no reason to believe in Ivermection any longer.
Several Ivermection studies have been retracted. Among them the most important from Egypt that claimed that mortality was reduced by 90%.

"Its misleading to call it an animal drug when it's widely used as an anti parasitic drug for humans"
For that reason some positive results from South America may be correct. It is now believed that some of the patients who were treated with Ivermectin had indeed worms and healing that may have helped them to survive Covid-19, too.
But I assume worms are not a big problem in Austria.

"its not dangerous."
Unless people take too much Ivermectin, which can happen when they take Ivermectin for horses.

As from the beginning, the real point of distancing and lockdowns in this particular virus' case, is to control the amount of sickest people and avoid catastrophe at the hospitals.

People from what as become both sides of the argument are constantly hung up on "how dangerous is it to me and to you" or "this is not right to impose controls on my personal freedom" perspectives. Neither of those are a useful way to view a ~1% lethal novel virus.

The useful perspective is to consider 1000 people sick at once is 50ish people in the hospital. 10000 sock at once is 500 people in the hospital. This is the front where real damage to society is caused by the virus, when so many are sick at once the demands bleed over into affecting all the rest of the range of human health conditions.

Enough Americans, most of whom can't even begin to basically describe how a virus infects a cell, have thrown our arms in the air and given up even trying and in many cases are actively hostile in preventive measures to slow the spread of infection. And so the hospitals strain, and people die who didn't need to.

Nothing is more 2021 politics than 8 packed Michigan University stadiums of dead Americans, a large percentage of which could have been saved with a slower viral spread speed - and we instead spend time insulting nations at least stay trying.

Gun ownership is more common among men than women, and white men are particularly likely to be gun owners. Among those who live in rural areas, 46% say they are gun owners, compared with 28% of those who live in the suburbs and 19% in urban areas. There are also significant differences across parties, with Republican and Republican-leaning independents more than twice as likely as Democrats and those who lean Democratic to say they own a gun (44% vs. 20%).

For many adults who own guns, exposure to guns happened at an early age. About two-thirds of current gun owners (67%) say there were guns in their household growing up, and 76% report that they first fired a gun before they were 18. While non-gun owners are less likely to have grown up in a gun-owning household, a substantial share (40%) say this is the case, and about six-in-ten (61%) say they have fired a gun.

Is anyone shocked by these findings? This seems to me common knowledge.

Its not surprising given you are citing my link, but like I said. It only takes one good democrat with a gun to provide a bit of nuance on your feelings about self-defense.
