"So we're on the same page today"

The Negro League was a real thing.

So is Asian food.

the teleprompter almost certainly had "attitude of the great Negro League pitcher..." or something similar & he paused to clarify it (choosing bad word to stop at :p)

i'm quite certain the teleprompter didn't say "attitude of the great negro (Satchel Paige)"... no intellectually honest person could possibly believe it did

It is almost worse, actually it is worse to think the teleprompter said something like the great pitcher in the Negro league that went on to pitch in the major leagues and what we got was that.

He couldn't even read it right.

While the judge stumbled a bit over the Asian food joke it would have been a funny joke had it been delivered well. Maybe not courtroom appropriate but still funny.

Its an amusing gaffe.Biden is known for them, self admitted.

Not a big deal, but its pretty funny.

Not a big deal if it were a more isolated incident. They are beginning to pile up though. My opinion is he had mild dementia setting in before the campaign and the stress of being president is making the condition progress much quicker than normal.

I was and am around people that have different levels of dementia and President Biden is absolutely showing signs of it rapidly advancing. The sad part is those around him that should care do not seem to care. I laugh at the jokes but really it is sad that he is in an environment where his mental capacity will continue to diminish rapidly. It is one of the worst things that can happen to a person and a family.

He is at the point now where he gets angry and frustrated because he realizes he is unable do and say things that he could just a short time ago. When he stumbles on a sentence you can tell it gets to him and makes the situation worse as he struggles to do what he knows he can do.

this is not indication of dementia... as reading, he thinks "Negro League" might sound strange to the audience

yet, enter the fraudosphere:

Hannity (on his show): "Biden had one of his most disturbing troubling moments to date"

Lauren Spicer (cultist candidate): "Joe Biden calling me a negro today but he's going to be calling me Congresswoman-Elect Spicer this time next year when I go file impeachment papers on his ass."

Dinesh D'Souza (piece of shit): "Biden Says The UNTHINKABLE, Talks About "Great Negro" Pitcher"

the Daily Wire: "Biden Refers To Famous Pitcher As ‘Great Negro.’ Obama Signed Law Banning Government From Using ‘Negro’"

"this is not indication of dementia... as reading, he thinks "Negro League" might sound strange to the audience"
He stumbled all over those two sentences. Teleprompter or not we are seeing a pattern and it is getting worse.

And hell he was born before the Negro league folded though really young so he would know Negro league was the actual name.
Negro League Hall of Fame by the way has no problem at all with what President Biden said. I don't either other than the way he stumbled over it. That isn't his fault though. He isn't being cared for by the people around him that should be caring for him.

I only changed one word:

I was and am around people that have different levels of dementia and President Trump is absolutely showing signs of it rapidly advancing. "Negro League Hall of Fame by the way has no problem at all with what President Biden said"

i don't doubt it, as no reason to have a problem w/ it

yet, as i noted, there's the lying asshole fraudosphere that lies day after day to their huge collective audience

hey look, Fox & Friends even deceptively edited the clip (if you don't spot the hand fade you'd never know... even if you did spot the hand fade you would assume they weren't lying to you if you hadn't seen the original)

http://twitter.com/atrupar/status/1459199560279023618

^their video: "I've adopted the attitude of the great negro, at the time, pitcher, his name was Satchel Paige"

Fox News = total garbage

"I only changed one word:"

and didn't change my point in any way. Arguing someone else might also have had dementia doesn't dispute what I typed.
I would argue President Biden's dementia is much more advanced than was President Trump's. At their age it would be odd if there were not some loss of mental function.

TW, 100% fox is garbage. The sad state is that no one will care that Fox actually cut out a few seconds where he atleast attempted to fix his gaffe. He really didn't fix it well though. But we shouldnstrive for journalism

By audio alone it made it short sweet and to the narrative *they want to portray*.

Always be team skeptic these days.

I seen Chris Hayes trying to look down on Fox for this.As people in general should, however glass houses.

I also only changed one word:

"And I just want to tell you, I know you’re a little younger than I am, but, you know, I’ve adopted the attitude of the great Negro — at the time, pitcher in the Negro Leagues — went on to become a great pitcher in the pros — in the Major League Baseball after Jackie Robinson. His name was Satchel Paige.

-President Trump"

Let's see if tumbleweed would be so willing to forgive it as a slip of the tongue then.

Personally, I don't think this was a huge deal (though Biden is clearly exhibiting signs of dementia at this point, he never used to stutter over his words like this), but the Democratic press wouldn't have given Trump a pass if he made this error.

I find it absofucking amazing that GOP supporters can find this problematic - but they giddily supported Trump though years of deliberate vulgar, divisive, racist, and offensive verbal statements.

Hrothgar, In that case its who said it more than what.

With Trump you expect him to talk like a bookie from queens.

Biden repeatedly attacked Trump for the way he talks. So its common to point out the irony that someone who goes after others for there language routinely is innapropriate in speech and or mannerisms.

Like when you find out an anti gay preacher like to bang his poolboy.
