People are paying 100 bucks + for small bulky old tv's?

I might sell some I have in the garage, I have a handful of tiny portable tv's meant for travel back in the day...I think they still work...Ill call them vintage/retro etc. hahaha

Growing up I remember my dad had an old PC that you put in cassette tapes, and I played on the Commodore 64 in kindergarten.

"I remember our first TV. 10" screen black and white. 1950"

Weak. Everyone knows that all the cool families back then had an RCA 16" 6T76, delivering picture sizes 2.5 times larger than your puny 10-incher. Introduced in 1950, you could get one in a French Provincial-style cabinet with handsome mahogany or walnut finish for the low low price of $360 ($3,900 today).

10 inches, rofl.

Rugian, we didn't have that one very long. We got the 17" about a year later. Back then we lived in a 4 room and a path to the outhouse row house.

Rugian:

$360 in 1950 is equal to $3,973 in 2021

It doesn't take much thought to realize the overall product improvement comparing dollars spent from 1950 to 2021. You can purchase a better television for $500.00 or less today. I'm fairly sure Tom put tinfoil on the antenna for better reception. I know I did as a kid Enjoy!

Woo, Fair enough. I remember when you could buy snes/n64 etc. with a bunch of games for a couple bucks at a yard sale/eBay.

Now they are coveted.

But I mean old tv's people cant give away.

tj, Honestly you could buy a better tv for 100 or less. 32 inch is like 100, you could get an android tv for a little more.I just got my dad a 43 inch android 200.
