"Governor Abbott ends Texas mask mandate, opens businesses '100 percent'"

Good for Texas. We've had a year of these fucking restrictions, it's high time we all move on already.

Hopefully more states follow Texas'lead.

"In Mississippi, Gov. Tate Reeves says masks will no longer be mandatory. Just encouraged."

Excellent news. Between them, Texas and Mississippi have a combined 32 million residents.

That's 32 million people who are getting their freedoms back.

Opening businesses: possibly reasonable.

Not wearing masks: retarded.

Sigh.

Help increase the covid exposure of your elderly neighbors just before they are vaccinated!

Sigh.

Cant we have a sane political party that wants to wear masks and not cancel white people? Youd think that would be some easy middle ground to find.

I'll keep wearing a mask, and be happy that faggot cops aren't empowered to stop people for it. God Bless Texas

Ah yes, the perfect time to lift restrictions is certainly right before the majority of vaccinations will be distributed. Make sure as much of the population is simultaneously immune compromised as possible and then tell them it's fine to crowd together and breathe one another's mouth fumes while plague numbers are still higher than last summer when it...wasn't...okay.

Are we trying to force Darwinism?

The restrictions were first put into place to flatten the curve. We did that. Restrictions should have been lifted long ago.

Will be interesting to see if cases and/or deaths spike in the next couple months.

We haven't flattened the curve so much as we've plateaued at around 8-10k new cases a day. Which is *checks notes* where we were in summer last year. So we've barely managed to get cases back down to the catastrophic levels that made the restrictions necessary in the first place, and you think we should have lifted them a long time ago? What when we were at 25,000 daily new cases last month? That long ago? You are out of your mind.

The plateau means the spike that everyone at the CDC feared didn't happen.

That's the Trump effect. They want you to become use to the stupidity and shittiness.

Just get use to thousands dying per day. 500k Americans dying?... whatever Brah. As long as they are mostly dems and the right-wing media screams all day that its the fault of dems or the chinese, we good in the hood.

No, average republicans don't live in "the hood." They live in respectable, Christian communities (aka trailer parks).

The elderly and other vulnerable people are free to remain in social isolation until they get the vaccine. Informed adults can assess their risk profiles and tailor their behavior accordingly.

The rest of us - the people who have little to fear from Covid - need to get back to our lives already.

Some of us occasionally leave our homes to do things. I know that's foreign concept to a shut-in like yourself, but it does happen.

Current list of states that don't have or are eliminating mask mandates:

-Alabama
-Alaska
-Arizona
-Florida
-Georgia
-Idaho
-Iowa
-Mississippi
-Missouri
-Montana
-Nebraska
-North Dakota
-Oklahoma
-South Carolina
-South Dakota
-Tennessee
-Texas

Combined that's over 100 million people, representing nearly a third of the entire country.

Real America is fighting back against the totalitarian left.

Rugian, how is wearing a mask at work, in stores, and restaurants, and maybe ordering takeout a little more often than eating indoors, preventing you from living your life?

Businesses are open and have been open. An extra article of clothing isn't exactly a prison cell.

Are you seriously asking for a real answer from a delusional retard that believes a massive, nationwide fraud stole the election from Donald Trump?

This is very transparently about the 2022 mid-terms and 2024 Presidential elections. The Biden Recession is already locked in (euphoria/panic index, Buffet index, and so on), the next wave of COVID will seal the outcome.

Biden has lost the 2024 election.

As it stands now, or so it seems, Trump owns the Republican Party. They will nominate who Trump wants if not himself.
By the time the elections are coming around again we'll see how may of the cult are still hanging on.
