Member | Wed Jan 20 15:45:08 In the weeks leading up to Biden’s inauguration, the worst elements of Trump’s coalition— Nazis, white supremacists, Q-mesmerized “patriots,” Proud Boys, Telegram lurkers, and all-purpose far-right shitlords—managed to hold out hope. On one website for Trump fans banished from Reddit, TheDonald.win, many users had assured one another that not only would Biden never take office, but that Trump, naturally, would never leave it. Instead, they claimed to each other—in a refrain that was once ironic and seemed less so all the time—that he would ascend to the role of “God Emperor.” On the morning of January 20, QAnon fans urged each other to “Enjoy the show,” dotting their posts with popcorn emojis, meant to symbolize all of them sitting back and watching Armageddon rain down on the Satanic cabal they’d been led to believe rules the world. Instead, Trump quietly boarded a helicopter and flew away, Biden was sworn in without a hitch, and these increasingly addled and radicalized people were left to turn on each other. “I have to say I am amazed that there's not even a single protest going on,” one TheDonald.win user wrote. “Honestly we really are the cucks in the end. Sat back and watched it all happen.” http://www...or-leaving-diehard-fans-adrift Great quote in the last paragraph “ Honestly we really are the cucks in the end.” |

Member | Thu Jan 21 00:40:33 trump was horrible, we got into so many wars, our economy wasnt booming prior to a global pandemic, he didnt find a way to rush out a vaccine to said virus. but yeah, he was rude and tweeted a lot while taking a shit at 3 in the morning. im sure biden will be much better. |
smart dude
Member | Thu Jan 21 00:55:33 "he didnt find a way to rush out a vaccine to said virus" Obviously he had nothing to do with making the vaccine. This same dumbass denied it was a problem and then plugged nonsensical cures like hydroxychoroquine, injecting bleach and shoving lightbulbs up people's asses. Oh, or, why not just megadose flu vaccines? (hint: Covid isn't a flu virus). Yeah, let's give him credit for creating all the vaccines. No wars? Hard to start a war when all you do is suck your enemies' dicks all the time, huh? Gunning for that Nobel Peace Prize (because Obama). He should have golfed more. |
tumbleweed
the wanderer | Thu Jan 21 00:56:57 Trump (& his PoSPS Kayleigh) said the virus wouldn't come here, that it was no big deal, that it was "going away" (said every single month from Feb to Oct i think), including specifically saying "without a vaccine"... so i'm extraordinarily skeptical he had any role in wanting to invest in the vaccine, for which he only ever harmed efforts by smearing the FDA & making it appear he was cutting corners plus he was ridiculously awful on every other aspect of the pandemic... much worse than having no leader at all plus he massively increased the deficit to achieve any economy gains (& he was handed a good & already growing economy to start with)... not that he had much involvement in any policy issues ever... TV/golf/tweeting so yeah, he was horrible |

Member | Thu Jan 21 02:24:42 trump had different private position [coronavirus being very dangerous] to his public position [deliberately downplaying threat to keep people calm.. telling woodward as early as mid-march that he was doing so] maybe here would be a good place to mention that the economic shock to the economy can be expected to kill ~890,000 americans over 15 years.. disproportionately blacks https://twitter.com/robertjdenault/status/1352036988849942533 |

the wanderer | Thu Jan 21 12:38:56 "different private position [coronavirus being very dangerous]" if this was true, why did he hold the dumbest event on the planet? (Tulsa rally - indoors, removing all social distancing reminders, no mask requirement, wanting it as packed as possible, people waiting for hours ahead of time) plus repeated other similar stupid events outdoors ...& calling them protests to avoid even state/local mask requirements why did he not only not encourage masks but actually -discouraged- them, repeatedly... how was that productive? wearing masks actually HELPS ability to open economy (& that's even if you believe they do nothing, still psychologically helpful) plus after getting out of the hospital he promised everyone free cures... that suddenly he stopped saying, as there's no cure & he had no ability to make that treatment free for everyone plus bleach/sunlight speculation (DURING a fucking briefing to inform the public) and that wasn't even all of it... continual misinfo & disagreeing w/ experts at briefings (which you KNOW he had no basis for, as he never has had basis for anything)... plus smearing health agencies over things they had nothing to do with... so much awful he's a fucking moron fraud child (& total failure w/ the pandemic in particular) |
werewolf dictator
Member | Thu Jan 21 14:08:10 tulsa was 6200 people gathered en masse.. george floyd protests was 20,500,000 plus or minus 5,500,000 which was more dumb i thought wearing masks was best from the beginning.. but then you have fauci et al saying masks aren't good for general public.. then changing position.. then saying 60% to 70% vaccinated for herd immunity before he keeps increasing.. with fauci saying he gave lower percentages than he really thought because americans can't handle the truth maybe if scientists weren't taking a socially manipulative definition of "truth" then people like trump would be less confused on when they were lying.. at least *everyone* should know that [1] trump is no scientist nor medical expert and [2] politicians lie as a rule speaking of economic shock killing people [est 0.89 million over 15 years] esp blacks and politicians lying.. how did stimulus checks go from biden promising $2000 "immediately" to *maybe* $1400 in like march |
tumbleweed
the wanderer | Thu Jan 21 16:01:08 Tulsa was intended to be 40,000 packed inside & 100,000+ overall... it being a failure had nothing to do w/ Trump's efforts as for protests... Biden/Hillary/Pelosi/etc didn't organize those... and they were outside... and they weren't sitting next to each other for hours... and many wore masks... there is no defense for Trump on any of it, he lied & made shit up as that's what he does as for $1400 instead of $2000, i assume its as the $600 ones were approved (although i haven't paid attention to it or promises made, just seems mathematically likely) |
Rugian
Member | Thu Jan 21 16:13:50 "as for protests... Biden/Hillary/Pelosi/etc didn't organize those..." Biden and Pelosi easily could have come out to discourage them. They may not have been successful, but at least that would have been consistent with their other statements on social distancing. Instead, Biden took almost half a year before he could be assed to half-condemn, not the protests themselves, but the full-blown RIOTS that accompanied them. Pelosi meanwhile didn't feel like she even needed to do that, at least not until a riot finally affected her personally. These people were vying to be the leaders of our country, and their approach to the protests was "well, these people are on our side, so our lockdown rules needn't apply here." Its absolutely disgusting behavior. |
Rugian
Member | Thu Jan 21 16:14:02 Unfit behavior, even. |
tumbleweed
the wanderer | Thu Jan 21 16:19:50 Trump being 100% responsible for his events & 100% responsible for them being precaution-free is -OBVIOUSLY- worse than people not objecting sufficiently to behavior of other people also, Trump has control of his cultists do you think any looter was looking for Biden/Pelosi opinions? |
Rugian
Member | Thu Jan 21 17:10:42 So the would-be leader of the free world should just completely abdicate any responsibility for speaking out against wildly irresponsible behavior if he doesn't think it will likely have much of an effect? That's a cop-out and you know it. I was hoping that with Trump gone and censored, you'd become a little bit more objective about things. Seems like that's not the case. |
tumbleweed
the wanderer | Thu Jan 21 19:01:04 Biden did oppose rioting multiple times... pretty much everyone opposes rioting (yes, you can find a couple exceptions) & the regular protests weren't even for a Democrat purpose Trump scheduled his rallies, Trump purposely wanted no precautions, crowd size was all that mattered there is nothing remotely similar about any of this some Biden tweets: ====== Needless violence won’t heal us. We need to end the violence — and peacefully come together to demand justice. ~ Aug 26, 2020 The deadly violence we saw overnight in Portland is unacceptable. Shooting in the streets of a great American city is unacceptable. I condemn violence of every kind by anyone, whether on the left or the right. And I challenge Donald Trump to do the same. ~ Aug 30, 2020 I urge President Trump to join me in saying that while peaceful protest is an important right — violence is wrong. Period. ~ Aug 31, 2020 Here's the deal: I've condemned every form of violence, no matter what the source is. President Trump has not. ~ Sep 17, 2020 & media did note potential hazards of the large group protests (even though fraud media says otherwise) & mask coverage at protests was way better than Trump rallies... (eventually his team made the people standing behind him mostly wear masks to look like being responsible on TV... but view the crowd shots of those in front... <10% coverage & never any concern of distancing) his pandemic response was absurdly horrible, not sure why anyone would want to defend it... even if all you care about is keeping everything open, he handled it terribly |
