Look at the comments apparently Trump has destroyed people's faith in Foxnews.

the obvious fraud cult leader has tremendous power for some reason

also of note Tucker says "the people who run Fox News want more of it [his show]"

there was a recent promo ad for Fox News that featured -only- the opinion hosts, none of the news hosts... could be they don't see any reason for the news hosts as Trump has helped blur the already blurry lines on Fox... maybe going to go w/ just all propaganda now

their Twitter posts have been markedly worse after election too

the country going to shit, will be 2 separate realities going forward... the cultists hooked on Fox/OAN/Newsmax for 'news' & Parler for social media

[ibty]: "Look at the comments apparently Trump has destroyed people's faith in Foxnews."

The turn in the comments happened after a few key Fox videos. One was Neil Cavuto cutting off a fraud-related press briefing by Kayleigh McEnany, another was Sandra Smith treating election fraud incredulously, and others were from Fox videos that have called the election or otherwise minimized the possibility of fraud. The remaining popular hosts (e.g., Carlson, Hannity, Gutfeld) have had to be careful about saying that it's over. Viewers want coverage of the lawsuits, but they're not getting it from Fox, so they're promoting Newsmax.

Difficult to say how many of the comments represent sock puppets. People saying how great [other product] is always sound like bots for [other product]. Some have even been trying to coax their favorite hosts into going to Newsmax, which almost sounds like Newsmax bots trying to poach workers by feigning a popular decree.

But, a Reuters poll infers that about 52% of GOP supporters have doubts about the current election results (Reuters; November 18th, 2020; http://in....uters-ipsos-poll-idUSKBN27Y1AJ ). Fox could easily be capitalizing on this by entertaining the fraud litigation, but viewers see them as being defeatist. And it doesn't help when misinformed people make statements like, "There has been no evidence of fraud in this election" (chuck; November 12th, 2020; http://www.utopiaforums.com/boardthread?id=politics&thread=87032&time=1605206447316 ) — there *has* been evidence and every election has *some*, it's just not statistically significant. Fox could probably lay out the math for their viewers and get those rage clicks while also explaining *why* viewers should expect a Biden presidency, but Fox seems to be distancing themselves from Trump to plan their political narratives for next year (maybe a narrative about bringing grace back to the GOP? Maybe Fox has their 2024 candidate in mind already.).

..
[tw]: "the country going to shit, will be 2 separate realities going forward..."

Not even "will be"! It's been Scott Adams' "two-movie reality" for a while now. The biggest contrast for me has been comparing Fox News comments to John Oliver comments — two totally separate realities.

And a big worry that Fox may have to address is a DNC-sponsored hit job on the GOP. People have been talking about these Fox issues as a reason to empower the libertarian party (i.e., a GOP split feeding into libertarians), but that also favors the DNC's use of spoilers to win their elections. Ideally/Instead, people could use post-election momentum to push states into using ranked choice voting in presidential and congressional elections. (So far, only Maine has led the way there.) That way, Fox' viewership split wouldn't just favor the DNC. And at least then you'd find out which people really want better election outcomes versus polarization and partisan gains.

yeah, it's been bad, but getting worse

we've gone from the 'biased' liberal media vs 'biased' Fox News & others

now Trump has changed 'biased' to just 'fake' for anything not openly praising him (which his cultists have absorbed)

& Fox News people are moving to actual fake news OAN (plus Fox News seems to be getting faker for that matter)

plus social media may split the tribes too if Parler takes off

-----------

i definitely would like to see ranked choice... a good chance Trump wouldn't have won the 2016 primary (you either love him or hate him, first or last choice for many i imagine)

i recall an early state (South Carolina, i think) that Trump took w/ ~30%, but he was basically no one's 2nd choice (there was a ranked choice poll)

Hey CC, that was a sick burn that time you chose to interpret my statement without any nuance and then cited it like you'd really caught me out.

Some people would call it intellectually dishonest, or uncharitable, or a total grasping at straws. I say, if "he said no evidence of fraud but AKSHUALLY there was no evidence of widespread of significant fraud, ergo there was fraud, GOTTEM!" brings you joy in life, follow your joy.

Tumbleweed, Maine is the only state with Ranked Choice voting.
Alaska has just voted to adopt it.
If Ga. had it we would now have an answer as to who will be their Senators.
