It seems that the consensus between Twitter, BLM, and retarded 'celebrities' is that drunk driving should no longer be a zero tolerance offence - give them a ticket an a cab ride home.

I find this sort of hilarious as deaths due to DUI far outweigh death by cop and are more likely to involve children and random civilians, and it is probably the most female-driven lobbying effort since first wave feminism.

Now police chiefs in Canada are asking to decriminalize possession for personal use:

CBC.ca: Police chiefs call on Ottawa to decriminalize possession of illicit drugs for personal use

http://www...session-personal-use-1.5643687

So the public wants to enable DUI manslaughter, and police realized that stopping the war on drugs (because that is effectively what's happening if you decriminalize possession) is the best way to stop interacting with minorities.

So what is the criminal landscape going to look like in the future? If DUIs rise, will action be taken to legislate alcohol on the business side so as to avoid police involvement?

Public transportation, ubers and whatever self driving stuff musks of this world invents. That's the future in the cities. Cars will be banned from downtowns, DUI might not be as big of a problem, my boy. Or alternatively, nothing like this will happen, and we'll all be driving high and drunk out of our minds

I'm looking forward to both scenarios

MADD died the night Rayshard Brooks died. The sheer amount of people who waved off his drunk driving as a harmless faux pas was insane.

Well, even a broken clock is right twice a day.

Not any more. A broken clock now just has a blank LED screen.

Of course not, don't be crazy. The problem of drunk and high driving will continue in rural areas.

How many people died in Toronto from drunk drivers last year? Something tells me the future is still in the future. Regardless, drunk drivers should be summarily executed, right at the curb. Not just being over the limit, but say double the limit and the cop shoots you in the head.

I'm good with that. About 10K DUI deaths in the US vs about 15K murders each year.

Yea something tells me that just like the other traffic stats, most DUIs and death from DUIs happen in the urban centers where all the cars and peoples are.
