Half of the time its like he is just looking at you and waiting. In Dark Souls you would already be dead. You would die like 10-20 times before deafeating that dragon. But this guy can just jump into the dragon’s mouth and hack his tongue, just like that. The dragon is chewing on the mountain, but he’s too weak to chew you up when you are in his mouth?

The Children rank	Tue Apr 24 22:37:52 2018 havent played monster hunter yet, hzd is an rpg and cant really compare. god of war, i will say this, the graphixxx are INSANE. i really like da story so far. its so simple yet so deep. wifey is dead, u and ur estranged son will travel 2 da top of da mountain 2 fullfill her last wish and throw her ashes on top of da mountain. on da way there, u soon notice strange things happenin around da world. if u played previous gods of wars, u wuld know boss battles can be pretty insane. this no different, except it no longer a hack and slash, its more like zelda, dark souls, bloodborne etc now. fast reflexes, sharp timin, and attacks.

And you should be able to level up Guybrush and learn more powerful insults, and get more powerful items, clothes and pirate hats with special abilitites and stuff. You should also be able to improve your pirate ship and hire crew members, learn voodoo, and hunt for lost treasure chests, fight other pirates, fight brits, spainards, portugese and chinese, sea monsters, and rescue girls from evil mayors. I would buy that game in an instant.
Forwyn rank	Tue Apr 24 22:47:48 2018 If you like Dark Souls, there's a strong possibility you won't like Monster Hunter. Fun for an hour, but highly repetitive and low-risk, low reward. The monsters are just ridiculous meatshields, who enjoy running away in the middle of a fight so you can spend the next ten minutes tracking. There's really no fear of being smacked, as even without good armor you can tank a few hits before waltzing away to chug potions with little regard for them punishing you for poor timing. Unless, you know, it's a T-Rex variant dropping four stories from a treetop canopy and one-shotting you as you chase another monster. Haven't played since.
Paramount rank	Tue Apr 24 23:09:10 2018 Yeah, Dark Souls is kind of unique. I both love and hate that game. When you play it you know that you will always die at any moment. Even when you don’t expect it, something will kill you. Its like you can never really relax, which is stressing. I wish there was an easy mode so I could just play it through with no worries. I have seen the final boss battle on youtube and that fight looks insane, impossible to win.

While HZD and Aloy are both amazing, there really is something very, very understated about Chris Judge voicing Kratos. Guy is absolutely perfect in the role and makes the minimalist dialog have a much greater effect.

Currently revisiting Skyrim in VR and while the graphics are on par with the original release, it’s still freaking incredible to be immersed. Need to grab Kingdom Come: Deliverance next (I was about 1/4 through on Xbox One before switching consoles) and pick back up - another great game. Excited for the new Red Dead Redemption but I’m most looking forward to the PS exclusive Ghost of Tsushima...game looks incredible.

PhunkyPhishStyle rank	Wed Apr 25 15:34:57 2018 I’ve only played Skyrim so far on VR, but imagine the graphics on par with when it was originally released and pop yourself into that world fully. You can play with either the dual shock controllers or with the motion sticks - the motion control definitely helps the immersion, though it can be clunky at times. Also played the free demo disc that came with it that had a couple game demos and a few couch co op games. They were fun and a god into to VR, but nothing on the level of Skyrim (and they weren’t intended to be). For me it’s more about what’s next. You can also watch tv and 3D movies on it, or play any PS4 game with it on, which essentially is like sitting in front of a theater screen. The games do lose some graphic quality though, so I usually stick with playing those on my 4K tv.

The Children rank	Thu Apr 26 18:58:17 2018 yea moniez doesnt grow on my back. anyway, god of war is a 1000 times better than skyrim. storywise, graphics wise, it a complete game. bodies dunt stay glitched and twitched after they die like in skyrim. u dunt fall into rocks and get stuck, story and npc progresses normally as they shuld etc etc and the norse mythology is done a 1000 times better than skyrim.

Also, one should note that this portrayal of Norse mythology with the aesir as evil gods is just flat out false. Thor wasn't some evil tyrant and the giants weren't innocent being unjustly persecuted by the gods. It's certainly an interesting story and many of the relationships and events are loosely based on Norse mythology, but it isn't at all accurate.

hood rank	Sun Apr 29 17:12:13 2018 A few god of war notes: - man, valkyries were tough - holy fuck does Atreus get annoying at some points - just more reinforcement that Chris Judge was an excellent choice to voice Kratos - niflheim was fun the first few times, but it's just become a poor excuse for an rng maze - muspelheim challenges weren't too difficult, but the protect-the-elite was impossible for so long - idk if I just progressed main storylines too quickly, but most of the armor unlocks I'm getting now are just worse than muspelheim/niflheim armor - runic attacks seem wildly unbalanced

hood rank	Sat May 05 04:40:36 2018 Finished God of War. Ending was a bit lackluster. The final battle didn't seem too difficult, but that could also be because I had all the best possible gear. The story reveal at the end is starting to grow on me, but originally I was just kinda meh on it. The final valkyrie fight was retarded difficult. Overall, great game.
