All Star Wars movies after Empire Strikes Back are gay. Probably gotten even worse since Disney took over.

This looks absolutely terrible. Han Solo was never some kid with a destiny. He was an everyman schlub with rakish qualities who was just getting by in a shitty universe and got caught up in shit he did not want to get caught up in, and rose to the occasion.

He was kind of like a Rugian a bad person interested only himself until he decided he had the ability to change for the better.

Oh wait. He's nothing like Rugian at all.

This looks awful, but it's early and it's just a teaser trailer, so maybe it will actually turn out to be complete shit. ;p

They destinied up Rogue One, so it isn't surprising that they'd do it here too. And while destiny was always a part of the actual Skywalker series, they've way overdone it with Rey in the sequel episodes.

Disney just doesn't get star wars. It isn't your princess fairy tales, it isn't pirates of the Caribbean. I think Disney is legit lost with star wars. It doesn't help that they constantly hire shitty people to be in charge.

I think the only reason marvel has been successful is because Disney gave them autonomy to keep doing their thing. Star wars didn't have anyone to keep the project on course, so it's just falling apart.

Incorrect, marvel is a huge success because paul fiege mapped the whole fucking thing out. Compare that to star wars where they knew they were gonna make a trilogy but didnt plan it out, just let directors make their own films. Independence in that regard is no good.

But lets not lose sight of cuckhats obsession of rugian, please.

"Incorrect, marvel is a huge success because paul fiege mapped the whole fucking thing out."

That's my point. Marvel has been allowed to do their thing instead of getting infected by Disney. Star wars didn't have anything, so Disney has been floundering.

"But lets not lose sight of cuckhats obsession of rugian, please."

It's a bit depressing how obsessed dukhat is.

The Marvel fanbase is also nowhere near as large as the Star Wars fanbase. Plus those autistic neckbeards are happy with the magical handwaving that the marvel cinematic universe and the comic book universe are two separate things unrelated to each other.

No such luck here. The Star Wars lore is enormous. Hell, its there in the first movie "for over a thousand generations the Jedi were guardians". They could have literally done ANYTHING they wanted with that. Unique stories, new characters, slapped a Star Wars label on it, and they would be happy.

But they are insisting on fucking with the original trilogy. The thing that made the entire franchise great in the first place, and that is no bueno.

I think there is a huge overlap between marvel and star wars fans. I hate going to screenings because i always sit next to the fuck who orgasms every-time their hero shows up on the frame.

Star wars does have a huge lore to draw from but from what Kennedy has stated, it isn't what they are doing. They are going for original content. Which sounds cool until you see Rogue one or Solo and then you wish Admiral Thrawn was a thing.

Anyways, let's not forget how upset cuckhat is over Rugian nutting in his wife's mouth.

Rogue one was pretty decent. Probably a top 3-4 star wars movie.

"They are going for original content. Which sounds cool until you see Rogue one or Solo and then you wish Admiral Thrawn was a thing."

Original content would be fine if they didn't constrain themselves to relating everything to the originals. If they went TRULY original, they could probably make a decent movie.

Also of note, star wars doesn't actually have a huge wealth of lore - the extended universe was completely axed. Marvel has plenty of lore to draw from, that is still official lore, it just isn't movie lore. And I don't think that's a problem at all. Star wars needs to be done with the Skywalkers. They clearly can't do a good story in relation to that family.

Old Republic time? I want to see the sack of Coruscant on the big screen.

Old republic would be great. Not gonna happen though.

I want to see revan and the exile in the mandalorian wars doing great and terrible things. I want to see Malachor V turned into a smoldering planetary core surrounded by a graveyard of mandalorian and republic capital ships.

Yeah but we all know they will continue to take the piss out of the original trilogy. Chewbacca origin story anyone? God help us.

Also i wonder if dukhats wife liked it or whether it was a one time thing with rugian

[obaminated]: "I hate going to screenings because i always sit next to the fuck who orgasms every-time their hero shows up on the frame."

+1, though for once — at the Last Jedi — I got lucky and sat next to people who were quietly disgusted for the entire movie. The crazed "show us any celebrity or familiar face that we know and we'll cheer, and we'll also cheer at the end even though this is a movie screening and not a theater play and it's retarded to clap" people were a few rows away. Those people will probably love "Solo" because they'll recognize Donald Glover and whoever else was improperly cast for the movie. Maybe Kevin Smith will have a cameo because Disney basically just gives roles to famous nerds and famous fans because making Star Wars is apparently just video footage of Comic Con now.

..
[hood]: "Disney just doesn't get star wars."

+1.. :/ .. they reverse-engineered the canonical Star Wars (Episodes 1-6) to try to build something "true" to the franchise, but they reconstructed it using fragments that should have been ignored or minimized. Like the whole thing with Rey being from peasants. There's precedent: Anakin. But Anakin was supposed to be an incredible exception. Instead they're twisting the intention there by saying that any halfwit stable boy can rise from mediocrity. Maybe they need to put all those hopeful younglings in a room and let Rey cut them apart — sample *that*, Disney ;D

Rian Johnson and JJ Abrams dont get Star Wars. They also have nothing but disdain for the fans. But that also means they have disdain for tbe things that made star wars get fans in the first place.

I watched a professional critique of the Last Jedi and her pretty much hit the nail on the head. The politics was ham fisted in, and the logical progression of the story and its grounding rules was ignored in favor of visually impressive shots. Like the Holdo light speed suicide run. Visually impressive. But it broke the understood rules of the Universe and even the logic of the movie itself. Like, if this is now a thing, why didnt she do it earlier before everyone was mostly killed?

Brandon Sandersons essay on Hard Magic vs Soft Magic should be required reading for the Star Wars writers because they completely ignored the fundamental rules. Star Wars technology and "the force" definitely qualify as Hard Magic. There is little subtlety to it. But to use a Hard Magic system you need to establish clear rules about its use. Or else you lose the suspension of disbelief with the audience, as well as the sense of dramatic tension.

But JJ and Rian clearly hate the idea that there could be rules to writing a good story.
