rank | Sat Nov 11 14:56:11 2017 I love how you piss away all your money for the military. |
Hot Rod
rank | Sat Nov 11 19:14:15 2017 I just heard that the Trunp Administration has fired 1500 VA employees for failure to condut their duties properly. |

jergul

rank | Sun Nov 12 05:37:32 2017 I think they said the VA is the 3rd largest cost in our budget. |
jergul
rank | Sun Nov 12 11:18:30 2017 HR Yah, well VA benefits are what socialism looks like. |
Hot Rod
rank | Sun Nov 12 14:23:44 2017 I thought it looked like benefits for taking on a dangerous job. |
TJ
rank | Sun Nov 12 18:26:04 2017 Medicaid spending including administrative costs, accounting adjustments, and U.S. Territories totaled $574.2 billion in 2016. A superior example of what socialism looks like. 186 billion for the VA appears to be a reasonable expenditure when comparing the two. Ouch! |

TJ
rank | Sun Nov 12 18:54:29 2017 One of the aspects of virtue signalling is that it does not require actually doing anything virtuous. It is a void expression that can be stuck anywhere. In other words individuals who apply it are doing it. LULZ |

rank | Sun Nov 12 21:19:25 2017 TJ Divide by number of beneficiaries. Its only weakness is its limited application. The GI bill of 1943 (or was it 1944) was within inches of providing universal benefits instead of limiting to those with service records. As made sense at the time given the total involvement in the war effort by everyone. That was your last best shot at social democracy. Too bad really. We all loved America. Once upon a time. |

rank | Sun Nov 12 21:38:04 2017 Yes, I'm fully aware the difference in numbers. I'm also aware for the difference in value within the numbers also. =) Personally, there is no reason not to have veterans treated in a civilian setting rather than its own agency. Using VA facilities only creates more hardship and cost. The efficiency would lesson cost to taxpayers. I qualify for VA medical, but also required to purchase supplemental insurance with the required medicare at 65. It is a twisted system. It isn't cost effective for me to use VA facilities. I still love America. America isn't the sole sum of government idiocy. |
