Utopia Talk / Politics / Boston rally not organized by Neo-Nazi's

So, apparently the massive sperg out in Boston yesterday was not organized by the neo-nazi groups behind Charlottesville, but was instead organized by a Republican Senate Candidate Shiva Ayyadurai, an Indian American who apparently has huge beef with Monsanto as his central platform.

I think ANTIFA just got trolled hard.

GOP Senate Candidate Shiva Ayyadurai Called For Peace And Love At Boston "Free Speech Rally"

One of the speakers at Saturday's controversial "free speech rally" in the historic Boston Commons park, Dr. Shiva Ayyadurai, is a candidate for the Republican Senate nomination to run against Democrat Sen. Elizabeth Warren in 2018.

Tens of thousands showed up to protest against the "free speech rally" with the assumption that it would be similar to the racist rally which took place last week in Charlottesville.

"To all FAKE NEWS, this was the "White Supremacist" FREE SPEECH RALLY I just spoke at," Ayyadurai wrote on Twitter: "This was the "hate" filled "Nazi" speech which the Establishment did NOT want you to hear or see. THEY want Race War to divide us."

While he spoke, supporters held signs stating: "Black Lives DO Matter"

SHIVA AYYADURAI: I want everyone to say with me: LOVE, LOVE, LOVE.

You are my brothers and sisters. We are one people, and we cannot let the power of darkness or Power, Priviledge, and Control -- destroy the Light.

I want to you to see the light and unite now with other Americans or all races and background in order to take on the Establishment.

Be the light. Know the truth. God bless you.

Lets be real though. Shiva Ayyadurai is just as bad as the neo nazis. If you doubt it, just google inventor of email lawsuit.

If you hold a rally that consists largely of far-righters, even if your specific message is something else, you have still led a far-right rally.

I don't think he was an organizer. I thought he was just one of the speakers. I thought the organizer was some college kid.

Either way, it seems like this free speech protest was more of having the worst timing imaginable rather than actually being a neo-nazi protest like Charlottesville. I get that they scheduled it months in advance, but they probably shoulda just cancelled it and waited a bit for things to die down.

Perhaps they were not concerned with the Nazis yesterday.

Maybe they just wanted to express their hatred of Free Speech.

the article doesn't say it was organized by Shiva the destroyer, just that he was one speaker

but i don't think it was organized or marketed as clearly by white nationalists as Charlottesville

"If you hold a rally that consists largely of far-righters, even if your specific message is something else, you have still led a far-right rally."

This phrase is used so much that it's become meaningless.

Yeah, "far righters" means anyone who doesn't believe in socialism.

"Should I say neo-Nazis and white supremacists then?"

It would make a lot more sense here, as the "Free Speech" rally organizers explicitly said that neo-Nazis and white supremacists aren't welcome.

Unless you're operating under the "everything right of the Scandinavian mainstream is far right" paradigm, then yeah, being specific helps.

IMHO, anyone who believes in The Declaration of Independence and The United States Constitution is Far Right, but they are in no way Nazis, Fascist, or white supremacists.

They are Americans.

"SHIVA AYYADURAI"
"inventor of email lawsuit"

I knew about this guy but not in the context of UP. Didn't recognize his name or make the connection myself.

If he's who I'm remembering, he's swell fella and totally, 100%, absolutely not a crackpot. /s

"Your opinion is of no consequence to anyone."

I can see where it would be of no consequence to you since you are an enemy of Free Speech unless a liberal is doing the talking.

Oh, I am? You're the one who wouldn't have issued a permit to the Nazis.

"I knew about this guy but not in the context of UP. Didn't recognize his name or make the connection myself."

I only remember his name because of an article stating that he was going to run for political office. I wouldn't be surprised if nobody really knew who he was though. Kind of a tech nerd knowledge thing.

And you would not issue a permit to President Trump if he required one.

I bet.

If Trump wants to hold a rally/speaking occasion that doesn't violate any laws, of course I would issue him a permit.

And that is basically why I would not have issued a permit to the Nazis.

They only want to demonstrate in order to start a brawl. I thought it would be legal for me to withhold it, but TJ set me straight.

Hood has stated previously that he would be allowed the neo nazis to do their march. That is their right as US citizens. Either free speech and assembly is allowed for all of us or it's denied to all of us. Violence and thuggery aren't the same as preaching hate. And preaching hate is on the right and left. I don't agree but idiots are allowed to be idiots.
