That's how it works today. Education is the key, man. Once you have an education you can get almost any job you want and the cash will just roll in. Sure, maybe u could pick apples for free, or go out and kill a cow, back in the days. But, it's not very practicial if everyone had to go out and hunt a boar or a cow every night. We would also need to prepare the meat. It takes time. All I want is a steak, so its better if I could just buy it from someone.
