Do I have to be the victime of every crime for me to not want others to be victimized? Sounds unreasonable.

Every settlement built is a nail in the coffin for any future that Israel has a Jewish state, which if you ask me is for the best. But are Israelis optimistic to the propect of living side by side with Palestinians? The apartheid state wont hold.

So yes, death to Israel, but it is happening at the hands of Israelis.

Nimatzo, If Palestine would have accepted the two state concept in 1948 you would have two peaceful states living side by side today.

They have only themselves to blame.

Two states was never the jews intent. Ever since they started to immigrate to Palestine they have been working and scheeming to steal the land. First from the Brits and then from the defenseless Palestinians. By terror, murder, ethnic cleansing and apartheid.

Whatever the past may have been, this is now and the future is the future. The overwhelming majority of those in this conflict today where not alive in 1948. They had no say in the decisions, they simple find themselves wherever they are. The road Israel is on, will lead nowhere good, least of all for Israel.

Totally agreed. Israel is heading towards a one-state apartheid solution and away from a sane 2-state solution. It is being controlled by a mad, negligent and frantic prime minister who will do anything to stay in power, including appeasing the right and all their settlement and messiahacal activities. The Israeli public has been taught to hate and revile arabs and "leftists" where in the past the left was strong. Now "leftist" is a curse word.
I once bumped into a lady in a market and she yelled at me "lefist!"... for bumping into her, without saying anything to her. It's that bad.

That is the plan
Currently I have a really great job and my gf was admitted to a great place for her PhD. Once she graduates we're out.
My EU citizenship should be completed in a few months.

How is the plan going, Asgard? You have a EU citizenship yet? :)

There will be more muzzies in the EU by the time he gets there than in Israel.

The creation of Israel was undoubtedly illegal, an act of force against the vast majority of those who lived there, but one must ask themselves if losing one of the greatest technological innovators in the world to dirty mudslimes is worth the symbolic act of pleasing their dead great-grandparents.

It would be akin to dissolving South Korea to please their hut-dwelling neighbors.

Only if those people would simply disappear off the face of the earth and not continue to contribute, economically and scientifically.

Maybe Asgard already is in the EU. Maybe he is in Sweden? Maybe he is moving in next door to me??!

Maybe that's why he created this thread?

@Nim - depends on the ruling party. A Hamas state necessitates the exodus of these peoples, so they don't get Erdogan'd.

"The creation of Israel was undoubtedly illegal, an act of force against the vast majority of those who lived there"

There were lots of Jews living there too. What went sideways was that when the Arabs invaded, they told all the native Arabs to leave their homes so that when they won, it would be easier for them to round up all the Jews.

Things didn't go according to plan though. The Arabs lost the war, and the new Israeli state refused to allow the people who left back in. Nothing in International Law explicitly forbids this. War is is still the ultimate equalizer, and the victor gets to determine the nature of the peace.

According to the Geneva Conventions, refugees of war has the right to return.

"What went sideways was that when the Arabs invaded, they told all the native Arabs to leave their homes"

Who would want to remain on the battlefield? In war, civilians are always fleeing their homes. Except in Mosul where ISIS is forcing people to remain and get killed, and are even shooting at people who are trying to leave.

>>A Hamas state necessitates the exodus of these peoples, so they don't get Erdogan'd.<<

Then Jews would presumably take their money and brains move elsewhere and keep being Jews!

Israel is legal. She has won every war thrown her way. Arabs don't like the Jews. It won't ever change until Arabs stop behaving like creatures from the dark ages.

"There were lots of Jews living there too."

Yeah, after a few short decades of massive immigration following Balfour.

In 2038 if Muslim immigrants in Michigan push for a partition of the state, and Michigan doesn't even get a vote on the issue, don't be surprised by the nativist backlash.

Jews tend to not like non-jews. They want to live segregated in jewish-only communities.

This is a silly tread.

Religious nut cases to one side of the river and another to the other side.

Poison the river.

It is an old thread that Para topped so that he doesn't have to face the antisemitism in the left.

"Jews tend to not like non-jews. They want to live segregated in jewish-only communities."

This would be a reference to the deeply religious sect of jewish people. They are a blight upon regular jewish people.
