I doubt if they have much meat on them at this time of year. Big bastards though. I'll have to get another part time job to feed them along with all the red poles and gold finches we have on a daily basis.

Living off the body of water you do I doubt very much there would be a need to feed them.

They know how to dig and claw their way to food. They also have survived this long and probably without being intentionally fed. But..., if you want them sticking around so you can harvest one on occasion I suppose you have to make it inviting for them to remain. Good luck.

They don't bother me too much as yet. Over the last 15 years or so they have been getting thicker in this part of the state.

Yep. We have red fox here a lot. A few years ago they must have had a den right near my road. The kits were always playing along it. We have deer, moose, bobcat, coyote, bear, eagles, ducks.
