She made quite an achievement don't you think?

I never heard of anyone doing it before.

Have you?

let's see if she can interact with society after being home-schooled and skipping high school

She did OK in her interview on Fox & Friends. She wants to be a Supreme Court Justice.

"let's see if she can interact with society after being home-schooled and skipping high school"

I've been waiting for decades for someone to explain to me how spending all day with 25 other kids exactly your same age sitting behind desks staring at a chalkboard prepares you for "interacting with society" where there's virtually NOTHING like that going on. Maybe bumbleweed can explain it to us.

Oh wait, maybe he has no idea what he's talking about and is just barfing up some retarded shit he's never thought through at all. Nevermind.

I've met several products of homeschooling. The pattern is clear. The "how" that pattern comes about is debatable, but the pattern is not.

For example, the "how" might not have anything to do with the homeschooling itself. It could instead be that it's the types of parents that choose to homeschool are the problem.

There is too much socialization in this country, time for a conservative.

in general, i have a problem with parents getting excited about their kid skipping a grade, it's just a badge of pride for themselves

as one of the youngest going through my schooling, i know it has its downsides :p... and entering the workforce a year or more earlier than most is pretty much a 'who gives a shit' accomplishment

What?

not to say this particular girl's accomplishment is meaningless... just that it will become meaningless :p

and remains to be seen the damage...

congrats though!

RoB's reaction sounds pretty personal.. and if RoB was home-schooled, everything suddenly makes sense

So you've never been to public school.

Good to know.

"He was."

Oh! I knew UP had a home-schooled person, couldn't remember if it was RoB..

..
"So you've never been to public school."

Exactlies. Public school doesn't have much "staring at chalkboards." In honors classes fewer people cause social disruptions, but lowest common denominators teach "socialization" every time they feel like blurting things out. I kind of hope that public school makes people aware of the need for eugenics..

ah, it does explain a lot...

so for RoB: there's classroom interaction, group projects, lunch period, time between classes, recess/gym... basically plenty of opportunities to experience interaction and have traumatic events to scar you for life

And then there's waiting for the bus when you get to beat the crap out of dweebs or play d&d. Sometimes both at the same time :P

I was public schooled 11 of the 12 years so you can all calm down. But if I had it to do over again and was allowed to decide for myself I probably never would have set foot inside of a public school... except maybe as a morbid field trip to watch mostly illiterate zombies interact with each other.
