Tentacle Rapist | Fri Dec 17 19:18:54 You're right. I had no right to ask such a question. Obviously it is not acceptable. |

Cthulhu
Tentacle Rapist | Fri Dec 17 19:19:28 Hmm, maybe I should say drunkard. I don't go to meetings, so I'm not an alchoholic. |

Cthulhu
Tentacle Rapist | Fri Dec 17 19:21:01 how much would you say someone has to drink to be an alchoholic? |
Hot Rod
Member | Fri Dec 17 19:23:44 Just one drink. If you lose it after that you are an alcoholic. |
Cthulhu
Tentacle Rapist | Fri Dec 17 19:25:40 So you would say anyone who gets drunk is an alchoholic? |

Member | Fri Dec 17 19:38:58 if you generally spending your day thinking about drinking you are an alcoholic. it has nothing to do with the amount of actual liquor you consume |

Member | Fri Dec 17 20:17:46 Whatever the actual medical use of the term is, I'd say anyone who gets drunk 3x a week qualifies as an alcoholic. |

Member | Fri Dec 17 20:32:25 Not being an alcoholic is the societal norm, so it is indeed morally acceptable to not be an alcoholic. |

Member | Fri Dec 17 20:38:59 If you go to your Dr.'s office and he tells you that he's finding traces of blood in your alcohol system you've probably got a problem. Seriously though if your alcohol consumption interferes with your ability to function on the job or with your interpersonal relationships you should probably get help. |
