The infection was very fast, and in hours my foot was all swollen up and red, pain projected all the way to my knee; could not sleep. Coudln't bear it. At 3 am I took a taxi to the hospital near where I live, part of the campus I study at. They wanted to charge me nearly 200$ for treatment, because my insurance company is not working with this hospital. I took another taxi to a private clinic working at night, that cooperates with all the medical insurance companies. about 25$ for a night treatment. I paid the receptionist and gave my details. Saw doctor, got treated, got my heavy-duty painkillers. dozed off. On Monday noon I got an sms: "Hey, I saw you a few days ago. I liked you. I know this is not usually done, but I wanted to contact you. If this is inappropriate you don't have to answer back". I thought it was some scam. I put the number on google, it found nothing. I put the text itself on google, got nothing. I sent a message back: "For it to be credible, where and when?" Got the following reply: "night clinic, Thursday". Well, it can either be the 60 yearold doctor who treated me, or the cute receptionist who took my details. I replied - "I appreciate your courage. I'm interested". I met her today, and boy, she's a lot prettier than I remembered (being numbed by pain and almost over-dozed on aspirin that had no effect). It went well, and we planned another date. I admire such forwardness in women.
