The couple of words that were taking out of your quote were not important as it still conveys the message and the intent of its meaning. The point isn't exactly knowing everything about the subject, but to a certain degree the author expects some to know have knowledge of it even if it's minor, especially if the poster decides to discuss it at some length.

This plagues the board from time to time. Someone makes a thread about something and then you have a few who know little to nothing about it only to start trying to discuss as if they knew all about it and then when shown how they are wrong either one they quit participating in the thread because they were shown how foolish they were or the resort to flaming and while doing so continue to speak of the subject as if they know more about it than the original poster.

You admitted that you do not spend time on a topic, but you go out of your way to still debate it or at times you say that the other person or the original poster who knows more about the subject is wrong. But that would be contradictory since you've said that you do not spend time researching the subject or at least attempt to have a better understanding in order to formulate any kind of arguments.

It depends on the subject, one do I have any knowledge of the subject whatsoever that I do not have to spend any amount of time to research it. Two, if I have little knowledge of it, would it be beneficial for me to search a few things about the subject in order to object or even discuss about it. Three, if it's something I am not interested in I will not participate in the discussion at all.

I am certain that posters here on UP have been doing this for years and I am sure this forum isn't the only politics forum that does this. To pretend that people do not do this is retarded.

This is too funny coming from a guy WHO WATCHES 5 TO 6 HOURS OF FOX NEWS DAILY! So I think it would be reasonable to think that people who may participate in threads about assorted subjects take some time to become acclamated to it before or even during the discussion.

I dont know how I ended up in this since I havent voiced a single opinion on the matter and havent even any idea what these delicate esoteric details are, but one thing is for sure: if anyone gets the votes for being nutty on UP, its you HR...havent you even understood THAT yet???
