The question is, will he get his *superior* health care in Canada or The United Kingdom.

Obviously American Health Care is substandard.

Dodd reports he has cancer of the prostate
Outlook good; disease found in early stages

WASHINGTON - Senator Chris Dodd announced yesterday that he was diagnosed with early-stage prostate cancer in June. He said he plans to undergo surgery early this month but will continue his reelection campaign.

Dodd, a Democrat from Connecticut and a 29-year member of the Senate who unsuccessfully ran for president last year, said his doctors initially detected signs of the illness during a routine physical in June. A biopsy confirmed the cancer diagnosis, but Doddâ??s prognosis is excellent because it was detected early, his doctor said in a statement yesterday.

â??The great thing about the annual physical is that if you get an early detection of prostate cancer, itâ??s very, very manageable,â??â?? Dodd said at a news conference in Hartford yesterday, sitting beside his wife, Jackie Clegg Dodd. He said he felt fine and would return to work after a few weeks of rest.

Prostate cancer, which affects the male reproductive gland, is among the most common and treatable forms of cancer among older men. Dodd is 65.

The senator said yesterday that he had spoken at length with Senator John F. Kerry of Massachusetts, who was diagnosed with early-stage prostate cancer in late 2002 as he prepared to run for the 2004 Democratic presidential nomination. Former Senate majority leader Bob Dole and former New York mayor Rudy Giuliani have also been treated for the disease.

â??I told him heâ??s going to be fine, heâ??s going to be OK,â??â?? Kerry said in a phone interview yesterday.

â??We talked about how you go through the process of selecting what kind of treatment you want, what your options are, [and] my own experience.â??â??

Kerry also opted for surgery. â??I was on my feet within a matter of weeks, giving a speech in California [while] running for president,â??â?? he said.

Dodd, who has played a major role in developing new healthcare legislation this year, kept his diagnosis mostly quiet until yesterday. He apparently learned he had cancer during a grueling two-month period in which he shepherded sweeping healthcare legislation through the Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor and Pensions. His sister died of cancer last month.

The health committee chairman, Senator Edward M. Kennedy of Massachusetts, could not attend its deliberations because he is battling brain cancer, so he entrusted his good friend Dodd to act as his deputy. The committee completed work on its legislation in mid-July; Senate leaders are now waiting to meld the committeeâ??s bill - written largely by liberal Democrats - with a more bipartisan version that is still being written by the Finance Committee.

Dodd said he would continue to promote a healthcare overhaul and play a role in the negotiations.

Yesterday he said his diagnosis is an argument for universal healthcare. Thanks to the excellent insurance plan available to all members of Congress, he said, the free annual physical revealed the illness in its beginning stages.

â??That annual physical can make such a difference,â??â?? he said.

Dodd is also concerned about the tough battle for reelection he faces in 2010.

As chairman of the Banking Committee, he has been under intense scrutiny for months for allegedly accepting favorable treatment by a mortgage lender - and for benefiting from a sweetheart deal on an Irish cottage. Dodd says he has done nothing wrong.

A recent Quinnipiac poll suggested that he was running nine points behind his Republican challenger, former representative Rob Simmons. This month should have been an important one for Dodd to spend time with his constituents, raise money, and shore up support. Dodd said yesterday that he plans to return to work a few weeks after his surgery, after he has had time to rest.

â??Iâ??m running for reelection, and Iâ??ll be a little leaner and a little meaner, but Iâ??ll be running,â??â?? he said.

Ronald Schurin, a political science professor at the University of Connecticut, said Dodd had long enjoyed solid approval ratings in his state, but voters were not happy when he and his family temporarily moved to Iowa in 2007 hoping to win the Democratic presidential primary.

The negative headlines about his financial dealings have also taken a toll on his popularity, Schurin said.

Still, Connecticut voters are likely to sympathize with Dodd when they learn of his illness, he added.

â??I know there will be a reservoir of great good will and support for Senator Dodd, some of which may have been dissipating over the last several months,â??â?? he said.

Letter to Sen. Christopher Dodd

We were sorry to hear about your prostate cancer, however, due to your advanced age we will be unable to approve surgery, chemotherapy or radiation therapy.

The required funds must be used for younger citizens and non-citizens who may have a more productive, longer life.

The National Insurance will provide the funds for end-of-life counseling.

As your prognosis is poor at this time, counseling sessions will be allowed twice per month as long as necessary.

Pain medicine will also be made available up to $50 per month.

If you exceed this amount you will need to find private funds to supplement your usage.

If you manage to survive over one year, National Insurance will provide an injection to end your misery and stop additional cost to the taxpayers.

HR: Perhaps he could go prostrate in front of Obama and ask to be bumped ahead in line?

Nah! He doesn't want to be treated in this country.

We have the crappiest health service in the world.

Ask any liberal. :)

Maybe he could get Michael Moore to put in a good word for him and Castro will take care of him.

Regardless of his illness, I hope Peter Schiff destroys him in the Senate race.

If he even has cancer.

I wouldn't put it past him to fake an illness for next years sympathy vote.

I hope he loses too.

"The question is, will he get his *superior* health care in Canada or The United Kingdom.

HR is going to lie again. Of course Dodd will have better Health Care is America, only because he is a senator, and even if he is not, he is still very wealthy. With the way you are trying to say this apply to millions of American without health care or struggle to pay for it, are you going to give his health care to everyone?

I will be happy if he gets the same health care he wants to give the rest of us.

Wouldn't you like to see that too?

"I will be happy if he gets the same health care he wants to give the rest of us. "

If that is the case, he would probably get superior health care in Canada or the UK.

HR, I will not rest until I find out where you arfe and get to slit your throat very, very slowly and spit in your soundlessly screaming face as I slowly kill you - for your evil. You must feel your own evil before you are dead, and i am going to do my utmost to make sure you finally feel the cruelty you so happily wish upon others. This is a serious death threat HR. I am going to try to find you so I can torture you to death.

Because you are as morally debased and corrupt as Hitler.

We have nearly a 100% cure rate for prostate cancer now.

Really though, I would like to perform one of the favorite pasttimes of the satanically evil cunts at Abu that you worship - a method that killed hostages the USA kept in terror even though the boss of the prison and the subsequent Pentagon investigations showed that only a tiny percent of the kidnapped hostages the USA held had anything whatsoever to do with the insurgency.

First tie your hands behind your back (you horrific sicko). That leaves your hands tied up behind your back, resting at about butt level.
Then force your tied hands up along your back - all the way up - not just up to elbow level, at which point you would already be screaming in agony and denouncing everyone you are related to or ever met as criminals, but further...up to your shoulders...further...up to your head....further...past your head...finally straight up in the air behind your neck, straight up, and then swing you out of a window hanging from your arms behind your body at which point your body can no longer cope with the agony and dies from the shock of such intense pain and terror. Yupp, thats what your sicko whoremongerers whose cocks you want to suck, did at Abu, a place where the USA has declared contained almost entirely innocent, kidnapped people in thier own country who had never laid a finger on the USA. You sick, monstrous, disease.

God, the evil you support and want to perform just makes me want to vomit over your dying body. I am going to murder you HR. I am going to find you and kill you through as much agony and terror as I can think of, and it'll STILL be far, far, far, far, far, far, far, far, far, less than what you have wished upon innocent farmer families. God, how I want to torture you to death. I am going to try to do this to you, Hitler. I am going to try to find you. I am going to murder you. Slowly and horrifically.

"We have nearly a 100% cure rate for prostate cancer now. "

It is not cure rate, it is the survival rate. And you would expect similar trend from other countries too.

Stab your eyes, HR. Slice them up with a razor blade. Slide the blade slowly down from your slitted and cracked eyes down across your chin, opening it up, further down across your adams apple, but not too deep, you mustn't die so easily, you must feel at least a hint of what you wanked your cock over in wicked sexual excitement when it happened to others - down your throat, down to your chest - and then, finally, perform an autopsy across your chest while you live. First the slice from shoulder to shoulder as you shriek in horror, faint, wake up and shriek in terror, then the very slow slit from your belly button up to the slit from collarbone to collarbone. You're still alive at this point, but now its time to peel your chest skin aside while you live, and begin carving out just little bits of your insides and forcing them into your mouth till you swallow and until you slowly die in utter terror and agony. This is of course much, much, much, much milder than what you voted for and rejoiced at upon thousands of poor farmers in their own homes and country, as the Pentagon has declared almost everyone at Abu in fact was.

You know what the difference between you and Hitler was you disease that I am going to cure? He had the balls to perform such incredible cruelty, you just want others to exercise such unfathomable horror upon a sovereign nation while you hide far, far, far away...

Evil cunt that you are...
