From a PROSECUTOR's perspective, the target of the law is to prosecute the killer for his actions, not going after weapons.

The logic is simple: we have a right to be armed, and the irresponsible use of a firearm by one person can never be used as the justification for disarming the general population.

If your gun grabbing goal is to save lives, you would better invest your time (and save more lives) by attempting to ban DRIVING A CAR or BANNING MCDONALD's.

Drunk drivers in particular kill more people per year than the entire Vietnam war.

Nearly 6 million people die every year from heart disease.

Start there, and then go after the several thousand that are killed in connection with guns.
