Let's talk some more about how unstable the US system of government is. I'm really in the mood to be lectured by a country that could very well have entire chunks of it secede a year from now.

The US has mechanisms for doing so, but they cannot be put into effect.

I have to admit that the UK is better than the USA in one respect: no elections were stolen there!

Having a government turnover rate that's on par with Bolivia is not a hallmark of a successful system.

Either your electorate and parties are consistently elevating mediocre and unqualified candidates to high office, or your system incentivizes ambition to the point where your leaders are constantly getting knifed in the back to make way for the next guy.

Neither option sounds very appealing TBH.

You are confusing system Vs govt.

We have had a string of govts that have failed because they promise impossible things: namely to continue attempting to run the thatcher/Blair economic model that stopped operating well in c. 2008 and depends on access to the EU to work at all; but also refusing to rejoin the SM/CU.

Except Liz Truss, she was her own brand on insanity.

The constitutional system works fine: ejecting them rapidly when they fail.

It's also less the politicians and more the media and voters. They brutally punish politicians that don't say what the electorate wants to hear.
