They had propagandized useful idiots saying that "sustainability" was worth it and that rising gas prices, rising cost of living, a lack of affordable housing, foreign entanglements, foreign dependence on energy, mass immigration, civil wars in Africa and the Far East, food shortages / famine in ESG nations, and the funding of a global slave revolt which gave power to the "Global South" (BRICS+) was a cost worth "eat[ing]".

Or more concisely with just one of the examples, retards like the ones above were saying that high gas prices were necessary for destroying "big oil" and turning into a "green" economy and that Westerners suffering for this ("eating" this policy) were just the cost of the transition into a global economy which provided "equity for the Global South". The difference is that *dis*entangling with these malicious Global South nations (e.g., Walmart disentangling from its priority on Chinese supplies lines — a "sustainability" imperative) actually *helps* Western nations return to sovereignty and maintain their principles and values.
