A construcivist outlook is central to politics, and in general shared by many people. Without it you can’t sell simple solutions to complex problems to the worried masses.

I could understand where an actual medical addiction (to anything, really) could cause issues like brain shrinkage. But how many people are actually addicted to porn? Also, for certain definitions of brain, extended exposure to porn and certain types of stimulation will indeed create shrinkage in the (lower) brain.

The only study I have seen on this with porn is a cross sectional study. Not that I have a thing for epidemiological studies on porn (I swear!), it would be interesting to read :-)
