Isnt it funny that the exact same story was played with south african apartheid - While Europe condemned them and wanted the international community to gather forces against apartheid, guess who refused and supported the apartheid govt and helped it continue? Good luck with convincing senators from the state with weapons makers to vote for that. At least in Israel's case, since about 3/4 of their aid from US govt comes in arms.
