the wanderer | Mon Dec 01 11:36:48 it hasn't been noted yet how cool Rick's scene was at the beginning Keegan-Michael Key put it as Rick now having a one strike and you're out policy (just like i support even without a zombie world :p) |

the wanderer | Mon Dec 01 15:49:10 yeah, was sad i wonder if she was needling Kirkman a bit w/ the personal life issues... how she moved to be on the show then had to move out after learning in ep #7 she'd be killed in #8 gotta be a little awkward knowing he killed off your character by choice |
Cherub Cow
Member | Mon Dec 01 16:25:02 Yeah! Can't tell if she was doing it for his benefit, but after that trauma Kirkman may never kill again, or he'll only kill villains and temporary red-shirts ;) |

Member | Mon Dec 01 17:16:32 so why then did she think she culd get away with that shit. seemed a bit weird. no sane person in real life wuld stab someone when they have let her go. seems like they needed someone 2 die and they decided it was her time. also weird how rick is now becomin more and more ruthless. |

the wanderer | Mon Dec 01 17:49:53 i can see the Beth thing happening... i'm not sure they established the mental state necessary completely, but in theory i can see it anyway i assume she was aiming for the neck and missed... maybe the writers didn't want her to go out as a murderer and as i mentioned in UP, the scene may have been a nod to Django... a very similar situation occurs |
Cherub Cow

Promise it's not cannibals this time. ---IT'S WORSE--- >:D" :p Rewatched the premiere, btw. Really well directed. Like how they showed Tyreese's memories intruding into his present (even in the beginning, they were mixing flashbacks with future moments). And he kept trying to employ a deterministic fallacy like Gottfried Leibniz (for Leibniz: "best of all possible worlds" / for Tyreese: "it happened the way it was gonna happen") which is mostly just a confusing of retrospective knowledge with an impossible to predict future. Add to that his staring at the images of the twins, trying to reconcile that past and present but seeing only a disconnect. Lots moar to think about, but for me that may have been one of the best episodes of the series |

Cherub Cow
Member | Tue Mar 03 15:49:25 Cool ending! They've become the villains :D Or Rick anyways. Or he's ready to be one. And good lols from the ROTC person being hit. Humility for his role-playing game ;p Kind of guessing that there must be some kind of tunnel system happening, since Corrral's friend disappeared in the woods and that zombie grabbed Rick's leg from under stuff, but wasn't there before. And the missing gun, the audio parabola from the last episode, and the camera documentation make it seem like there could be heavy surveillance happening. Good mystery ahead :) |
Cherub Cow
Member | Tue Mar 03 15:49:51 "which doesn't bode well for her safety" Yeah she might die. And a jealous husband too? Not good. |
Cherub Cow
Member | Wed Mar 04 13:48:56 ..having second thoughts about the tunnel possibility. That zombie that grabbed Rick from under the debris looked like it might have just not heard him the first time that Rick came around.. Am kind of wondering if Enid (teen) knew Carl from some other disaster (like maybe Carl killed her dad at the prison or something fun like that).. if not, probably just that she recognizes a fellow wanderer and knows to be suspicious, in which case they're positioning the weak people against the strong ones, where she'd be in the strong mix and capable of joining Rick's group.. Rawr rawr. Probably not worth speculating? ;) |

Cherub Cow
Member | Wed Mar 11 18:50:39 Some revisions/thoughts: - Probably just Enid who took Rick's gun. She seems sneaky and was definitely outside the gate when they entered the first day (she was the one in the house that Carl spotted), so it makes sense that she'd have it - Carol really shouldn't have taken that chocolate bar if she wanted to get away with taking the guns... That was clearly an inventoried/quantified item that would be noticed. So looks like a "you cannot simultaneously prevent and prepare for war" situation. The Alexandria peeps seem nice, but because Rick made the decision to have a contingency plan (the extra guns), they'll make themselves the enemies. Yay! |

Member | Wed Mar 18 14:38:16 @Spend episode (( spoiler warning )) Wow! Amazing episode! Watched it twice in a row :D .. Some really big moments.. Poor Noah, though :( .. dolphinately gruesome. Wondering if Sam Anderson (little boy) was saying that he needs the gun so he can kill his dad himself, or if he'd give it to his mom and let her make the choice.. not super important, though Very cool how the show has been managing narratives. The Alexandria people have been trying to reconstruct a story of Rick's group from fragments, but now they have to interpret real circumstances. So the priest gets to give his misinterpretation of Rick's killing of the cannibals, but if Maggie doesn't try to give her version (which she seems to feel bad about, so maybe she'll let the priest's narrative stand), then Deanna Monroe might interpret the death of her son as calculated — especially because Spencer's lieutenant will probably lie about how things happened. But Carol and Rick's becoming evil! Oh yes! :D Seems like a terrible idea to kill the doctor, but killing dysfunctional people has become the norm, so Rick will probably find a way.. .. love this show :D |

Cherub Cow
Member | Tue Mar 31 13:40:10 @finale Wow!! D: D: :D :D :o :o The wolves showing up, Morgan being all super-hero-ish, priest being a screw-up ;p ... was totes nervous for Glenn and Rick, but everyone in the group really showed how awesome sauce they've become: Sasha and Glenn not killing despite having reason, Rick showing restraint, Carol being strategic/devious, Michonne being on Rick's side and deciding to return the sword to her back, Eugene and Abraham making up (♥s ;p )... so much stuff! Much finale! Very impress! Also.. - I had been thinking that the wolves were 2 of the 3 banished townspeeps.. but the fact that the writers felt the need to have them find Aaron's photos of the town makes it seem like they wouldn't have previously known that it exists. If they did, then it's simply a reminder to them and foreshadowing for the audience.. but I don't think they did.. - Was the doctor staying in Michonne's house or something? If not, it would be pretty contrived for him to show up with the sword (that would require too much specific knowledge of other homes).. .. Don't think I'll mind the spin-off since it'll meet the demand while Walking Dead films its next season :) |
tumbleweed
the wanderer | Mon Apr 06 09:09:07 i don't know about how he got the sword, but like this viewer comment: "What might of happened to carl and judith? Pete got michonnes sword which was hanging in ricks house where they showed carl and judith." the kids being dead would be nice... especially Carl :p |
Cherub Cow
Member | Mon Apr 06 14:53:50 ohmahgerdz D: .. that might have really happened. When the Doctor gets there, there -is- blood on the sword even before he kills Reg: http://i.imgur.com/wcbsoRB.png I kind of dismissed it for a continuity error (like that they had staged the blood to be there for -after- he slashed Reg). So if it's not continuity and if everyone was accounted for at the gathering, not sure who else's blood it could have been except Carl or Judith... maybe the doctor's own children? I'd suspect that the most, just because Carl&Judith were supposed to represent the future |

the wanderer | Sun Aug 23 22:35:18 Oct 11 for Walking Dead premiere Fear the Walking Dead started tonight i get a strong Johnny Depp vibe from the son character... probably intentional |
Cherub Cow
Member | Tue Oct 13 12:30:09 [Season 6 Premiere] - Carol is so cool :D (thinking of that scene where she pretends that Morgan didn't just see through her charade) - @ending: D: Very cool start to the season! Am worried for Rick, with the son of the doctor being a bit upset that his dad isn't around to beat him anymore (a weird nostalgia, but it happens.. or he just wanted to do it himself).. and am liking that Glenn is making besties with Nicholas. That would be a great friendship, aktly :) Too bad that Rick had to kill Carter (that was Ethan Embry, btw; from "Can't Hardly Wait"), because Morgan seemed to consider it like Rick's self-fulfilling prophecy.. like Rick maybe doesn't think that people can change and will subconsciously push them to fail. Still, not sure if Rick could have done much? The best I could think is maybe knock Carter out or have him bite a stick and then cut off his whole cheek. Otherwise it would just be a prevention thing (like Rick should have been with him, helping him with that walker), but Carter really wanted to be helpful and run ahead, so can't fault Rick for that... Rick even tried to get Carter and others to learn to fight (even if messily), so Morgan can't totally blame Rick for this outcome.. And the ending... guessing that peeps expect the Wolves to be at work, but I'd be more suspicious of insiders, like someone wanted Rick's plan to fail. To be seen, though! |

Member | Thu Oct 15 12:48:49 Yeah they are! :D I could see it being him or else maybe Carter told someone to do it in case he died. The teen makes more sense, though, just because he wouldn't realize that it was suicidal and stupid ;) .. "i don't recall Carl being in the episode" They showed him sitting on a gazebo roof with Enid in one of the black&white scenes while the son of dead doctor spies them from a distance. Guess he's okay ;p |

the wanderer | Thu Oct 15 18:49:35 damn... well maybe Carl is the noise maker cause he's sick of all the dad jokes http://s-m...f1f033955a7d447dbc646f7987.jpg ...apparently many think Rick pronounces it "Coral" |
Cherub Cow
Member | Thu Oct 15 19:11:28 I've even started saying it like that XD And from above: "since Corrral's friend disappeared in the woods" :D I mean, it probably -will- end up being the Wolves — it fits their herding style — but it seems like Rick hasn't made friends in Alexandria, and sabotaging his plan could be a way to make people hate him. |

Member | Mon Oct 19 16:17:58 Personally think that Kevin Smith is a useless hack who's about 10+ years removed from having a relevant opinion, so not sure if anything he has to say matters at all (I'm sure he'd respond well to -any- kind of senseless action).. But! Very tense episode! Was basically like "D:" the entire time :D Carol got to show how kewl she is again! Looks like she lost all her new friends, though (except the stock room person, Olivia, who knows her secret meow.. and hopefully Olivia won't shoot the next person who opens that door)... Carol seems to have secretly liked living in that homemaker world.. re-becoming the monster can hurt :'( Was the wolves after all — oops! I wanted to believe it would be misdirection :p .. neat that there were more than just the originally-shown two. I wonder how their recruitment process works ;D And I had to re-check the end of the first episode.. looks like Morgan snuck away after Rick killed Carter; he's not in the last two "present time" scenes with Rick and Michonne (even before the horn), which could explain his getting back to Alexandria in time to help. If not (which could be the case, since they intentionally used closer shots to hide whether or not Morgan was still there), Rick may have asked him to run back and stop the horn while everyone in the away group tried to re-herd. Am happy that it'll be two episodes in a row of this issue; will get to see panic herding or a panic Alexandria defense :D (btw, having Deanna Monroe get in the truck versus the tower.. probably not a good decision, though it was interesting that she had such a big reaction to a dead body.. they really were isolated from it all) .. @"smoking kills" I was srsly like, "wtf??" at that moment :D .. Was even trying to decide if it was really happening or was Carol's daydreaming. That scene really worked, with everything being super clean and then a crazy "W" hobo running into frame :) |

Member | Mon Oct 26 14:15:16 If he's not dead, it's even shittier writing. The only way it would "work" is if when Nick starting zoning, he sorta had a "what if" scenario run through his head and that's what we saw. But that would be pretty lame. I'm sure we're just going to have to chalk it up to, "Oh right, they can't climb fences. What, you could have gotten over that without any issue? Well, that's you. The one guy is a just a hardened survivor of 2 years...oh wait... Derp." |

the wanderer | Mon Oct 26 14:23:43 well it had razor wire on top & there were walkers on the other side it did look weird like they were pulling intestines out of his upper chest so conceivably its the guy lying on top, but i don't see where he could go... i assume dead |
Wrath of Orion
Member | Mon Oct 26 15:08:24 One crappy looping of it...not enough to stop someone from climbing over. I've certainly been over similar fences. The walkers would only stop you from jumping over. Straddling the fence is better than being eaten by walkers. And the side fence had no barbed (I don't recall it being razor, but I may not remember correctly) wire on top...just nearby vegetation. It comes down to what is a survivor going to do...stand there and look around stupidly, or get up one of those fences? The answer is easy, unless you're a writer for The Walking Dead, apparently. |
